Historical incels were cannon fodder and ugly women were cloistered. The reason we have so many incels now, as opposed to then, is because modern medicine has beaten nature’s process of natural selection. Evolutionary pressure favors women, which is why they’re usually healthier and more robust from birth. (Which is especially fucked in places like China where during the one child policy you’d have parents lob healthy girls off of bridges in favor of a sickly boy who might not make it to five. Passing on your genes should be more important than superficial gender preferences, and you’re more likely to do so with a daughter statistically.) So ultimately more dysgenic males are being brought into a society where they otherwise wouldn’t have survived before antibiotics, vaccines, NICUs… This is, of course, not the single reason incels plague us with their nonsense (the modern culture’s preoccupation with sex, the new generation’s sense of entitlement, and the break down of community ties is a major factor), but perhaps biologically, it is the most significant.
