As a degenerate who watches a lot of streams, I can't think of one successful streamer that makes such a big deal of how much they're donated to, how much support they're getting, how it stacks up against the normal rate, etc.

It's not exciting or engaging to think about how much money someone else is getting, when you're not earning any. That's like the opposite of emotional connection, and I see it so much from Phil that it just clobbers me in the brain every time.

Taken in isolation it's not so bad, but I think he sees the downward trend. The obligatory first-stream whale tipping is also not a useful indication of how well the game will pay out overall.

I finally also got the allergy medicine lore I've been waiting for. DSP said he takes a "Benadryl when he needs it" but otherwise doesn't take any antihistamines.

First of all, Benadryl generally isn't going to be recommended first line for maintenance of seasonal allergies due to the fact that it causes drowsiness, he should be taking Claritin, Allegra, or Zyrtec. In addition, these drugs target H1 receptors and a single dose doesn't nail all of them, so they generally ramp up in effectiveness over a few days as you take them (this is why you take them every day, not just days you feel like more allergies are coming up or whatever).

Basically, his strategy of "do nothing except every once in a while take a Benadryl" is really fucking stupid considering that he bitches about allergies multiple times every single day at this point. By the way, oral antihistamines are sometimes a very effective adjunct therapy for post-nasal drip, I always just kinda assumed he was using them this whole time.

Maybe he'll read this and actually get his shit sorted out

Sure, Phil might spend a third of his income on gatcha and he may still drink every day, but Phil is no dummy. He knows the dangers of taking over the counter allergy medicine.

If he had really bad post nasal drip it could cause him to snort. Half of it is probably habit and the other half actual snorts. He might need nasal steroids or something along with antihistamines to stop it.
