I conducted some research (actually I was trying to see if I was remembering correctly). The modern Greek word for Slav is Σλάβος (slavos), whereas the word for slave is σκλάβος (sklavos). Except for the one letter difference, they do have the same background. Let me take you back to the Byzantine Empire, where the word slověninъ became σθλαβηνός (sthlavinos), then σκλαβηνός (sklavinos) which became σκλάβος meaning both Slav and slave (since many of them were slaves), which was passed to medieval Latin as sclavus and then passed to other languages, etc.

In addition to what Cubanodum said, Sana also said she doesn't want to stream her art to separate herself from her other work and not be known and defined by it in Hololive.

I've been watching VividlyVivi recently and it makes me really want an Australian girl in Wave 6 that won't hesitate to call Enna a cunt.

I think Sana could be a really fucking strong V-Tuber even without her drawing. Her voice is unique, as is her sense of humour and interests. She is more than enough to justify being a streamer within the company, and 'talent' is a word that has little meaning now because each new Gen/Wave brings less and less people that bring something drastically different to the table.

That said, there is no doubt in my mind that Sana used her art skill and résumé in that field to stand out and secure a place in Hololive, so the notion that she refuses to do the very thing that got her in over others really does kind of rub me the wrong way whenever I linger on it.

Beat me to it.

Definitely looking forward to a potential Gorn sequel. I looked up gameplay and I don't think there's blood or dismemberment, but there's ragdoll physics and a lot of random junk to use as weapons. Also the enemies are faster than in Gorn and the player character seems to be able to take fewer hits, which means shork will probably be stomped more often than not.

Another fun fact that relates to my original post on this topic is the reason there wasn't a wide spread slave trade in Europe of black people is that Slavs were just a cheaper and more accessible slave for both Asians and Europeans. By the time slavery ended in that region roughly 100 years prior to ending in the USA something like 60% of all Russians could be considered as being in some form slavery.

Amusingly enough organizations like the "Coalition of Communities of Color" actually recognize Slavic people as people of color because of this, so Slavs actually do have a nigger pass and can call whities "crackers" as an insult.
