It's possible but I imagine it's more part of his very informed "anarchist" philosophy that any trans person is always innocent and was framed by the police. If he knew the details of this case he would probably suggest that the police threatened the innocent trans person into pleading guilty.

If he opens a transformer, he posts it. If he buys a transformer, he posts it. If he thinks about buying, or ordering, or even just likes a transformer, he posts it. He posts every single personal interaction he has just to prove he has them, and if they aren't on Twitter he didn't have them.

So, I’ve been pondering Kevin’s fondness for Transformers, which seems to be pretty common in trans spheres. The chief reason is probably just that Kevin is in fact an overgrown little boy, and the franchise has been catering to trans stuff for some time, especially the IDW comics.
At the same time, I can sort of see another, perhaps subconscious appeal: trans shit just makes more sense for Transformers than human beings. Transformers don’t really have sex, they’re robots. They’re either constructed like machines or birthed basically fully formed by some higher power depending on the story. They’re never children as we understand the term. For them, gender actually is all about presentation and the perception of others.
In other words, for the cartoon robots, gender really is as arbitrary and superficial (and easily modifiable with some hardware hacks) as a lot of trans people tell us it is. Just a thought.
