Mega Rad Gun Thread

It seems that a certain Midget Jew Billionaire has been throwing some cash around

Compared to Microstamping, Smart Guns are only slightly less retarded (entirely because Smart Guns cannot be defeated with a scrap of sandpaper) and only slightly more viable (entirely because the technology for Smart Guns actually exists outside of paper). Also this Kai guy is like 23 and has been trying to bring this thing to market for the better part of a decade

If we are talking gear itt, does anyone know of a reputable seller of tiger stripe bdu's? All I have are run of the mill US Woodland.

To keep on the theme of the thread, my newly acquired .357 is great. The only modification I've had to make thus far is a small dab of nail polish on the front blade sight. I might want to get different grips, though. Something rubberized because the current (original) ones are worn down smooth.

I have also heard whispers from my friend about an unwanted(!) .50ae Deagle. Fingers crossed.

tiger stripe bdu
Roth Co if you want good fabric but want to raiderize or dye them (buttons tend to need reinforcement), Propper if you want prêt-à-porter. Tru-spec is hit or miss and tends to have bad seams for BDUs but their blouses are okay.

The minute they're available they'll bring back NJ's previous law that bans everything not a smart gun once they're available. They nixed that due to manufacturers saying the reason smart guns won't take off was that law, but they'll bring it right the fuck back if they happen.

Not one inch.

Brought the commie-ammo guns to the range. Lots of interest from the range neighbors in my Fallout-looking RH-10 (there's a shitload of Apex-sourced bits from multiple countries on it) and particularly my M10X, which looks fancier than it is but is also crazy accurate for something shooting cheap 7.62x39. I think I shot less through them than the lookie-loos, but still had a good time.

Exotic combloc guns are always a great way to make range buddies. How are you liking the M10X? I've heard the manufacturer had issues in the past with QC, shame since its a super sick gun.

My only experience with the M10X was seeing someone at the range struggle to get 4-5 rounds out of it before jamming. But yeah, cool rifle, too bad about the QC issues.

I've run probably a couple thousand through it without any issues. The trigger is super funky - a fair bit of travel with an oddly unpredictable break following a slight increase in resistance and despite that, a very sharp distinct reset. It's crazy easy to bump fire if that's your jam.

Trigger weirdness aside, it's crazy accurate for something shooting cheap commie ammo and doesn't yeet the cases into the next county like most AK type rifles I've shot. A bit on the heavy side, especially with the 1-4x I've got on it.

PSA is in the 5.7 game now, supposedly for around $500. They keep finding ways of testing my resolve, goddamnit; but I'll still never buy a new Ruger or PSA.

Edit: I get why manufacturers would leave a gap between the mag floorplate & grip, but holy shit that looks sloppy and/or has a mismatched magazine. It's almost as tacky as Springfield's "Grip Zone" bullshit (or Kel-Tec's exposed hex bolts).

But hey; Ruger does it too, so....

Interesting, I keep hearing very conflicting info about its accuracy, people reporting anything from sub-MOA to 6" groups at 100yds. Seeing as it's a piston gun in 7.62x39, not sure how realistic sub-MOA is. What size groups are you getting?

Typically in the 2-3" range at 100 yards, which I'm perfectly happy with from that sort of rifle. It's a bit better with Geco brass-cased stuff.

Reminds me of an AK/tankie sperg I used to see at a public range back in the day (circa '03); mentioning anything like ARs being more accurate than AKs made him literally turn red, and he'd spend the rest of the time arguing with himself (because nobody listened after 30 seconds of his bullshit).

So one weekend he brought a stack of paper targets, shooting rest, a spotting scope (for an approx. 50-meter rifle lane lol), and then proceeded to switch targets whenever a flier ruined his group.... which seemed like every 3 shots. And it seriously started pissing everyone off, because every time it meant calling the range cold so he could walk out & swap targets.

The hilarious part was when he showed up on the gunboards forum (or maybe it was arfcom) with his sub-MOA target (that took the better part of an afternoon to achieve) as a gotcha, to win an online argument for AK vs. AR accuracy... but that day he hadn't noticed me taking pictures of his antics with my brand-new OG Motorola Razr.

I wish I'd known about archiving back then; because it was glorious when he deleted his account (he was also the first & only person I've doxxed), only to start blatantly socking in his own defense. For a long time it was impossible for anyone in that particular forum to mention accurate AKs, without being taken as just another one of his sock accounts & ridiculed endlessly.
I didn't even know that match 7.62x39 was a thing, to be honest.
I didn't either, until recently. It turns out I've been sitting on some quasi-match ammo for a while; some time back I inherited a couple boxes of "Zombie" ammo from Hornady, which is evidently the same thing except for a green polymer tipped round. So a couple months ago I was shooting with a friend who got a "new" AK-clone (Zastava IIRC), and he bought some Hornady match 7.62x39 because there was nothing else on the gunstore's shelf (and he didn't ask/mention needing any).

So I got curious and pulled a couple of each apart, and they're pretty much identical in content & weight, except for the polymer tip round. As for shooting, neither type ammo made a difference in his AK (edit: still better than average), while the Tula I happened to have handy was more typical.

However, the same couldn't be said for my "nice" SKS (or later in an Arsenal SLR); the Hornady match-grade significantly tightened up 3 round groups, while the zombie-flavored stuff performed the same as normal Tula.

Yet nothing makes any difference in my other SKS (both of them are Norinco), it shoots everything minute-of-man; no better or worse. Just another thing that makes me 🤔.
