I don't think it's cartoons. I think it's lack of proper socialization with other kids, leading vulnerable kids to only learn about life through cartoons and porn. Jazz is a weird case because Jeanette pushed him to do it. Also antidepressants and endocrine disruptors. But y'all don't want to hear me sperg about phthalates, atrazine, and fluoxetine.
I find that MMOs and games with character customization in particular contribute a lot to feelings of being trans. Being a cis guy who wants to play as a girl character is a safer way for them to experience that kind of thing (though they'll probably also deal with male players creeping on them and asking "plz be gf")

It's just a pet theory I have. But basically SSRIs make kids susceptible to trooning out because they blunt sexual pleasure and desire. This disrupts the important experiences that take place during puberty. Someone is less likely to want to cut their dick off or slice up their clit if they associate it with pleasure. Libido is also important because normal intercourse and a desire to have it are closely linked to gender. Having a weak or absent sexual awakening is the exact kind of thing that extends vulnerability to transgenderism. It's a pretty important part of one's identity, and when it gets set in the right direction, the chances of becoming a troon drop.
I find it interesting that Jazz always mentions that he has dealt with depression since he was 10 and has been on medication for a long time, and the depression has nothing to do with being trooned out. He's depressed just like most other teenage (now 20-something) girls are.
Since age 11, IIRC, which is when he started puberty blockers.
So one might conclude from Jazz.
