If/When the Republicans take Congress in the midterms, Manchin switches parties. He's got ambitions for governor of WV, and with the Dems no longer in Congressional power that D next to his name will be a liability. Sinema stays, but only because she's more powerful as a thorn in the side of her own party than as a Republican. Depending on how things shake out at the state level, expect one or two of the moderates Manchin was covering for to very, very quietly switch over to save their own skins for next time, assuming they weren't voted out. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul make common cause in unseating Cocaine Mitch, Cruz because he wants his job and Paul because its personal. With the waning power of the Establishment and RINOs even if they aren't able to remove him they'll be able to get enough populists on their side to make his grip on power shaky. Yes Cruz is a snake (yes, yes bold of me to say that) but he's also snake enough to know who will be buttering his bread moving forwards. He's already been far more populist than Mitch has, after all, so even if he's interested in his own power, he knows where its going to be coming from.

As to non-Congressional things, expect Jeff Bezos to being sucking up hard to the Republicans. The man's a robber baron, not an ideologue, and as such he's not at all interested in going down with the Democrats. I've no doubt there will be plenty of bet-hedging towards the Democrats, but as we've seen with the WaPo's sudden interest in fact-checking the White House, the man knows where the wind is blowing, and if he doesn't want Congress to look into those sweet, sweet government contracts Amazon Web Services is getting, time to start kissing rings.

Maybe, but he didn't take the bait of intervening in the states where the George Floyd riots happened, the establishment could've easily spun that into real charges. I think the same would've happened if he fired Fauci. They could then link any COVID deaths directly to Trump, and they were in control of the infrastructure, so the potential there was limitless.

I doubt this conflict in Ukraine would even be happening if Trump was in office. Looks to me like Putin took his cue to invade due to the fundamental weakness that Biden exudes.

Keep in mind that Putin grew up in the glory days of the Soviet Union, when the US was an animal that intimidated and was meant to be feared. He saw the rise and fall of his own country- the fall being the speedrun of Brezhnev’s tail end, followed by Andropov and Chernenko, before the too-little-too-late reign of Gorbachev. He saw the consequences of infirm leaders who projected weakness, and how that (among other things) led to the collapse of the USSR.
