Honestly the specific brand of autist shooters from 4chan and the like are weirdly into sharing the fact that they browse 4chan - Alek Minassain, in his interrogation, was also super into discussing his usage of 4chan and /r9k/.

I think to some extent these guys coming out of pol/r9k/k genuinely feel like if people consumed as much content from the boards as they did, they would understand. It's kind of like puzzle piece evangelism.

I don't think half of the guys shooting people up intend on surviving their crimes anyway, nor do I think their frontal lobes are developed enough to understand the consequences their behavior might have on their favorite website.

I'd have to disagree on the "survival" expectancy part. They almost always surrender peacefully. If they weren't so sure about their odds of survival they'd be fighting until the cop's mags were empty. I also couldn't begin to imagine why they tout their 4chan usage. I'd have to imagine it's a sense of superiority that they have over the common normal fag. "If you knew half as much as I knew...." ordeals. Anyone that tries to put too much control onto "information dissemination" platforms fails to realize that the more sterilized safe spaces you have the less likely-hood you have of open discussion of thought. I guess I say that re: survival, specifically thinking about people like Elliot Rodgers offing himself and Alek Minassain pretending to wield a gun in order to be shot at - I think at the end though, the vast majority of these people we're discussing are cowards barely out of their teens who fold the instant the cops in full body armor roll up despite their intentions to go out with a bang.
