I will never understand why people believe that spree/mass murderers are somehow compelled by some force outside their own will to commit murder. I can only assume it's because they don't care about the murder itself but about using it as grease to further their own pet politics.

It wont stop all mass shooters but if it stops a few of them then it is ok. Going after mosques that radicalize young muslims didn't stop all terrorist attacks but it did lower the number.
