I only know of him as a fellow Jet set Radio ost enjoyer. I had no idea about his twitter being like this.

Has he always been this retarded? Or is just troon twitter that infected him recently? He even has a female profile picture, don't tell me he trooned too lol . That site is a blight on humanity and i am glad i don't have an account,
He doesn't speak any English, he's just parroting things people DM him.

We said that back in 2015.
These people are lawyers, doctors, and run social media now.

I still remember when it was okay to slag off troons in nerd culture spaces, in fact, it was pretty much the norm until... late 2017 or so? Can anyone explain that?

The only hypothesis I really have is the sudden popularity of Discord/final nail in the coffin for many traditional message boards (including some that would never have considered using a proprietary platform before it) as a result. That said, I don't think I really bumped into any troons until early 2016, and I was using the internet since 2008ish... funny enough, the ROM hacking community in particular seems to have more 'proto-troons' (i.e. 'trooned out before 2016') than literally any other circle on the internet I can think of...

... possibly the sudden surge of interest and media hype around the time the Nintendo Switch came out, which in turn led to normalfags finding Discord, which in turn led to them finding out what ROM hacking, emulation and other such things were, which in turn led them to meet a bunch of these "proto-troons" and then attempt to emulate them?

I know I'd never have found out what anime was or have been extremely ignorant of it if I wasn't into Nintendo, so there's a definite chance this all derives from this... that, and most TRAs that aren't within the inner circle are usually pretty ignorant or uninvolved with any of these interests whatsoever, and are simply 'going with the flow' if that makes sense rather than doing any of their own research.

I started seeing them around 2005 or so, but their power was limited by then, although they did ruin the community I was into at the time and turned it into the biggest cringe. And then the next....and the next....and the next........and now the only place I am into that isn't sucking the girldicque is the farms.
We should have cut them right at the source, but I'm sure nobody expected this.

The Switch and romhacking thing is mere coincidence, they just happen to be huge consoomers who gotta have all the new toys. and they flock to technology-based spaces where they abuse the good will (more of a thing than most people thinks) of resident nerds who want their community to grow, then take over for the cult, promote other troons to mods, politicize everything and remove the "undesirables" that don't tow the line. A few are half competent until they troon, and then they live off past glory or "heading teams" so they gather the merit of more competent people.

You just saw another nerd space being invaded. I lost count long ago.

Young teens thoroughly groomed into confused late-teen degenerates who were forced to disperse onto other platforms typically populated by a more adult audience with higher societal power and a façade of empathy.

Just a theory.

Blaming the Nintendo Switch is certainly a new one.

SomethingAwful also had a ton of them before Tumblr even existed, but ironically the one good thing Lowtax did was making the forum a paid subscription, meaning they were mostly contained and only taking over smaller, niche communities. Source: the troons themselves.
"SA(+niche spaces) -> Tumblr/Reddit -> Twitter" seems to be a fairly solid timeline of how we got here. Guess that explains where the tumblr groomers came from.
Rest in piss, Lowtax.

I said that more because of how there's some ordinary people with them to an extent (mainly in parts of Western Europe and the US, the UK being a rather notable exception to the rule) and due to media hype and sites like Kotaku and Polygon promoting Discord/Twitter/Reddit and politics into something that doesn't need to be political, alongside the fact that social media is so integral into everyday life now, you end up with ordinary people that casually join these communities from merely having a 'normie-like' interest in it and googling a few things and then landing in a rabbit hole, and then potentially get suckered into the intoxicating culture around it.

Powerlevel, but I used to be on GBATemp.net back in 2016, and pretty much nobody took Tumblr as anything but a massive joke to basically mock... Only a few members were troons at the time if I remember right and those that were were closeted groomers who were actually called out on their shit if they tried to attention seek (I should know, I was constantly attention seeking there at the time). It's really kinda weird I guess how a group of people went from one staunchly 'I'll never touch X platform as long as I have a hole in my arse' to 'I'll become a massive consoomer and suck TikTok and Twitter and Discord's dick!'

The Switch is just the single most popular thing by far that can lead to discovering that side of the internet at the moment, and its release literally came about just as Discord shot up and killed all the forums.
I'm a vidya nerd too, but you are being too narrow here. It was just one more thing they took.

lucky TIFs can reach an average dude's muscle development (minus density). this is noticeable with the 24/7 gym addicts. hell, some TIFs don't even have frog voice. but that can only fool people in a carefully staged and brief encounter. the biggest tell is the movement, eye/brow area, and behavior. the way they sit. the way they laugh. you can't cover it up. you can cover up some of your natural sexed behavior, some of the time, to go against what's comfortable, and TIFs often agonize over this very performance, but you can never catch it all. even talented actresses couldn't do it and fool anyone that they were male. women can't act exactly like men. women probably have completely different microexpressions in their faces, men and women tend to stand different when waiting... there are so many tiny differences that you'd go insane if you tried to copy them all.

but yeah, this is advanced troonology for the almost passing. most of them just have fat hips. it's that easy.
There’s an FTM at my university who isn’t ‘stealth’ per se but also isn’t one of the ones who never shuts up about it. I mentioned to my normie straight girl friend that Leo has a wife and she was very shocked that he wasn’t married to a man. Flamingly homosexual male is the best most FTMs can hope for.

I don't think they took over as much as they were already members and decided to transition cuz autism or whatever

Not explicitly related to gaming but I used to be part of a small whatever community (it was like a general place to talk) and most of the trans members there weren't newcomers but people that were online addicted and posted 24/7 who transitioned. Like you could you fit them neatly in one profile.

Some mental illness, online addicted, no real life friends and maybe one relationship they are excessively emotionally dependent on. This probably relates with many hobbies like anime and other nerdy stuff

Since they are active members of the community people don't really mock them and they get rewarded with sympathy for transitioning.
