Megathread Tranny Sideshows on Social Media - Any small-time spectacle on Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, Dating Sites, and other social media.

Fair enough.
(At least they'll never take Xbox because they have an allergy to non-Japanese consoles for some reason :P)
Easy, not enough young feminine characters to coom to. And less women are sterotypically into xbox offerings, no grooming potential.
With troons, if you assume everything they do is for sexual motives, you have a 90% chance of getting it right. I believe.

I don't think they took over as much as they were already members and decided to transition cuz autism or whatever

Not explicitly related to gaming but I used to be part of a small whatever community (it was like a general place to talk) and most of the trans members there weren't newcomers but people that were online addicted and posted 24/7 who transitioned. Like you could you fit them neatly in one profile.

Some mental illness, online addicted, no real life friends and maybe one relationship they are excessively emotionally dependent on.

Since they are active members of the community people don't really mock them and they get rewarded with sympathy for transitioning.
Ah, I was counting those cases as takeovers, should have specified, but good point to note. You are completely right, they don't tend to come pre-trooned.

Some mental illness, online addicted, no real life friends and maybe one relationship they are excessively emotionally dependent on. This probably relates with many hobbies like anime and other nerdy stuff
Literally this.

Plus taking what @Arietis said about troons 90% of the time being sexually motivated, we can assume they just want to be futa anime lolis, and their troonness is their self-insert RP anime character being acted out in real life.

Huh. Usually ex-Special Forces men tend to have a background in MMA or some other fighting style. That is something erratic, don't you think?
Quote function isn’t working for me on this so apologies to @Chandelier but as far as I know, there is a martial arts component to military training (minor PL but a close family member was a marine and they learned some martial arts).

I don’t know for sure, but I think it (military martial arts) probably isn’t super applicable to MMA and he’s only been training to fight for a year when most train for much, much longer before getting into a professional fight (like, he didn’t even have any amateur fights prior—that was his legit first real fight).

So he sucks for sure, but I feel like most people are probably gonna suck for their first year of training/first fight (see: Ian/iDubbz’s boxing debut last Saturday; he also trained for about a year prior to).
That’s why it’s fucked up, IMO, that this guy is mediocre at best at present and he got to waltz right in to a professional fight and snag a win despite being new to the sport, pretty bad at it, and 38 years old. A woman of the same skill level and experience would have been absolutely demolished by Provost and he probably thinks he’s actually a good fighter and not the cheater he is and it’s just unreal anyone agrees with him.
Also he wore a shirt that says “End Trans Genocide” after the fight and that’s dumb and embarrassing for him

Based Ronda Rousey on the subject re: Fox:
"She can try hormones, chop her pecker off, but it’s still the same bone structure a man has. It’s an advantage. I don’t think it’s fair."

And she would know, by virtue of having trained with mostly dudes her whole life, all about the natural advantage men have over women.

Also lol at Matt Mitrione’s comment (that he got suspended from the UFC for) in that link:
“That is a lying, sick, sociopathic, disgusting freak. And I mean that. Because you lied on your license to beat up women. That's disgusting. You should be embarrassed yourself.”

Maybe he should come hang out with us

(he’s kind of an idiot actually this is a broken clock situation he can just stay on Twitter)

A long while ago I predicted the bullshit nonbinary trend would somehow become more insufferable than troonism

What I didn't anticipate is for expectations to be exceeded by the new species of nonbinary trans. They've been around since prehistoric times of course, and were in fact a significant portion of Vikings and the Mongolian Horde, we were all just too bigoted to validate their existence until recently.

Australians watch out, there's a new terrifying beast in the bush...

He definitely sexually assaulted that train.

Thousands of dollars, Jesus fucking Christ. I've known people into lolita fashion, and they're usually already well-off rich white people. But the difference for them is that it's something they do for fun, like cosplaying. People into lolita or alternative fashion don't do it "or else they will kill themselves".

Editing to avoid double posting, but this is the shit that makes me MATI:

Shut the fuck up, you selfish, entitled cunt. What is it with MtF troons thinking all cis women are just BORN with confidence about their looks? As if we don't deal with pressure to be skinny and hour-glass shaped, usually leading to eating disorders. I try to hold back on more aggressive comments, but this is the type of shit that just screams that you will NEVER know what it is like to be a woman, no matter how many dresses you buy. But of course, cis women never have to deal with the pressure of having to be physically desireable to men or else their existence is useless, right, ladies? I want to slap this ungrateful bitch.

Can't be complete without the classic troon suicidebaiting!
If a cis woman put in as much effort into lolita fashion as OP then she would most likely have a group of obsessive haters tearing her apart for every little detail.
You've all heard of the "incel-to-troon" pipeline so here's a nice twist on it.
The "troon-to-incel" pipeline.

The incelspeak is being noticed by the other TiFs though.

Maybe she's actually a guy with that incel mentality she has going on. Only a man desperate for a girlfriend would get angry at his girl friends for confiding him with their personal lives.
I still remember when it was okay to slag off troons in nerd culture spaces, in fact, it was pretty much the norm until... late 2017 or so? Can anyone explain that?

The only hypothesis I really have is the sudden popularity of Discord/final nail in the coffin for many traditional message boards (including some that would never have considered using a proprietary platform before it) as a result. That said, I don't think I really bumped into any troons until early 2016, and I was using the internet since 2008ish... funny enough, the ROM hacking community in particular seems to have more 'proto-troons' (i.e. 'trooned out before 2016') than literally any other circle on the internet I can think of...

... possibly the sudden surge of interest and media hype around the time the Nintendo Switch came out, which in turn led to normalfags finding Discord, which in turn led to them finding out what ROM hacking, emulation and other such things were, which in turn led them to meet a bunch of these "proto-troons" and then attempt to emulate them?

I know I'd never have found out what anime was or have been extremely ignorant of it if I wasn't into Nintendo, so there's a definite chance this all derives from this... that, and most TRAs that aren't within the inner circle are usually pretty ignorant or uninvolved with any of these interests whatsoever, and are simply 'going with the flow' if that makes sense rather than doing any of their own research.
It's just because of tumblr and now it's amplified by twitter and tiktok.
A lot of trends regarding activism can be traced back to tumblr. Everyone, including corporations, became #feminists because of tumblr. Racial representation and diversity? Because of tumblr. Cultural appropriation? Tumblr. Anyone remember when communism was all the rage on social media? Or maybe it's just me. Most of the modern gay jokes (be gay, do crimes) and "being gay is actually cool" comes from tumblr, and deifying lesbians also from tumblr. "actually nonbinary existed in this random third world country and it's all colonization's fault" also from tumblr. Twitter obviously has a role in this by spreading it even more but I don't really think they created new ideas, just mutated what tumblr bloggers came up with.
It's why you hear the same types of arguments and ideas over and over again and it feels like none of these people can think for themselves or explain things in an original way.
It's hard to know what's going to be the next big thing because there's nothing really there. I don't think people with slight anxiety and awkwardness running around and diagnosing themselves with autism and adhd counts.

Blaming Nintendo switch is very random, it feels like a "correlation does not equal causation" situation.

Only if the women are conventionally attractive. A fug could spend all the money in the world on clothes and have perfect makeup skills and not get any attention at all. I don't mean average women, those still get attention, especially with good makeup skills, because clothes and makeup do a lot of heavy lifting.

I'm talking about fat, or even just more chubby women. The ones with big bulbous noses, or acne scars. The 2-3s in the world. The most they can hope for is to be average after they put in a lot of effort and it's going to take a lot of effort.

Also older women. We become invisible once we reach our late 30s-40s. Which is nice, but again, all the money in the world is only going to do so much. People will treat us nicer IRL, because everyone likes people who look put together in age-appropriate, properly fitting clothes. Makeup optional.

but we all know he's not talking about people being kind and friendly! He's talking about lust and having men literally pant after him, and that kind of behavior is just not something most women will have (or necessarily even want!).

STFU pervert. You know nothing about women. Probably nothing about fashion either, despite your "thousands of dollars of clothes", like 99% of trannies.

A beard/man's haircut. An untucked man's dress shirt over an outdated skirt that hasn't been in style in like thirty years, and even then was only popular on old ladies or small children. Teal socks that clash with *everything* and sneakers. Oh, and a goddamn trucker cap.

I think this guy has a shot at the award for worst dressed Troon. It's all age appropriate and not skanky, but wow.

If it hadn't been Tumblr, it would have been something else. The Tumblr that we know today was very much a creation of its user base, not its staff members or founders, with no such aspirations for the site. They probably just intended it as a slightly more artsy version of Twitter. And (as anti-SJWs often use to point out the hypocrisy) they are straight Hhhwite males!

Even Tumblr's former CTO and current podcaster, Marco Arment, doesn't even seem to be aware of the meme culture or social justice activism that the makes the Tumblr brand significant. This quickly became apparent in a podcast he hosted after its purchase by Automattic in 2019 (relevant section at 2:00:04). He seemed to think that, with the right marketing, Tumblr could have been an upmarket Instagram clone without the ads. He even voiced the opinion that it maybe should become this in the future.

The SocJus mind virus takes hold easily in spaces like Tumblr, Twitter, knitting circles, and Tiktok, but these are not where it ultimately came from. The real culprit is likely to be a complex combination of academia, fatherlessness, the decentralisation of information (an unavoidable byproduct of mass internet access), and the neoliberalism that these folx claim to hate.

If you look more than a little bit back in time, you'll notice a lot of Tumblr's talking points have been around in some form for decades – they just weren't very popular until SocJus ideology went mainstream. Cultural third genders, the addition of T to LGBT, and otherkin communities all seemed to blow up during the 1990s, the latter of which specifically owes its existence to the early internet and newsgroups. Heck, the tranny fucking athlete debate received (some) news coverage in 1976 [archive]. It's older than most of us.
