The people in grocery stores are usually upstanding citizens, if you look at the biographical details provided for some of them thus far it shows them to be exactly what you would expect -- church going people who work at food banks and organize community events whose legs are so stiff from arthritis that they can barely walk let alone run. The legal system is a coin toss, you're at the mercy of whoever gets on the jury, and judges are no better even as they claim otherwise. The legal system is legit one of the few things in America that isn't utterly dysfunctional. Despite all the attempts to prevent it, Rittenhouse got off. And I think we're gonna see it with the Supreme Court as well. Look, if we don't have a functioning legal system then you might as well just forget about any sort of stability.

Literally the problem is the legal system hurts the poor and often times only media attention is the only way one can ensure justice many times. But beyond the glaring flaw its better then a lot of other systems where one ks guilty until presumed innocent like in many European countries. This is why America can be nicknamed the land of the criminally insane.
