It makes not a single difference whether it was a costume or not.
A gimp costume, whether it is referencing a famous gimp from a film or not, does not magically un-gimpify the gimp suit.

I would like to know how the museum staff arrived at this conclusion and why they think it makes it anymore acceptable to wear blatant fetish outfits around children.

What is the fucking need for "after dark" events nowadays? Everything is so riddled with degeneracy.

Went to a museum, one of the temporary themed exhibits at this time was porn, straight up videos and photo and it wasn't exactly restricted (as far as i recall), as your standard installation art was in the hallway that led to the porn exhibits. At least, there were no ID checks happening, so a kid could probably have seen all that garbage

One of the pieces was a literal porn video being projected onto a wall which i avoided as a few friends went in, then came out immediately all flustered and freaked out

Another notable display was a photoset which had a man and woman doing sexual shit with a baby nursing on the woman or just being beside the couple being naked and kissing

I respect artistic freedom but not that... a lot of it was also just not artistically skilled. I've even seen fetish photosets on DeviantArt that have a lot of skill in terms of composition, photography, costume, hair, makeup detail etc, but all this crap was so low effort, ugly and relied entirely on shock factor. It's pathetic imo

Even worse, outed as a rapist and yet at the ripe age of 16 founded Trans Student Educational Resources which is supported by GLSEN and shoved into California school curriculum and teacher trainings. Dude knows jack shit about pedagogy and educational research and still he's making curriculum and the state is completely behind it. Whatever is being spread around twitter is inconsequential in light of how this one creep has influenced the very foundations of education. Educational fads certainly have made their mark all throughout history, but nothing in the history of education has ever happened this broadly, this quickly, and without the involvement of diverse and experienced educators and researchers. A fucking 16 yo troon. That's where a major educational shift originated from. What an insult to professionalism.

I am involved in education. I've observed schools, their trainings, and currciculum resources. Anyone who scoffs at "ok groomer", anyone who says there's no CRT curriculum, anyone who says they aren't teaching gender ideology in schools IS A LIAR.

A song about actually breaking gender stereotypes is offensive. Maybe it's because back then long hair on a man was seen as weird, and now it's not. I remember seeing my dad's yearbook from the 60s, they would do touch ups on all them guys that had hair that went past their ears. It looked awful but back then seeing a guy with hair that long was odd.

Maybe that's why troons screech so much about how they need to be valid and need attention or they'll die. Every thing they're doing isn't new, a man with long hair isn't new, a woman in pants isn't new. They want to be seen as rebellious and have a lot of strife, but they don't face the same pushback that happened before. They want to be seen as stunning and brave for all of this but really it's more tame then the crazy shit we saw in the 60s and 80s.

I hate to history sperg but a lot of people overcomplicate why the SA got shit on.

Yes, Rohm was pushing socialist reforms that the nazis didn't really feel any urgency to follow through on after they'd won, and a lot of the upper brass hated Rohm for being a homo, but that's not why they glassed them. The simple fact is that the SA were at their base glorified street thugs. Something that goes from being a boon when you're trying to take power from violent commies with their own street thugs to a massive public relations problem once you're actually in power. That's why the SA's leadership was removed from life and the acceptable rank and file pulled into the SS or other groups with more structure than the SA.
