General Wrestling Discussion

Don't almost all American Wrestlers today rehearse everything spot for spot with little to no ad libbing or going with the flow.

I remember hearing back in 2003 that basically all matches were mapped out spot for spot beforehand.
It's possible. I know guys like the Bucks do. If guys like Danielson, FTR, Punk, Moxley and MJF are doing it, they sure do a good job of making it look natural. Wrestlers like Sasha come off as the wrestling equivalent of an actor that just remembers their lines and waits for their turn to talk as opposed to the kind of actor that internalizes the character and focuses on reacting to the other person's line.

Sasha Banks was interviewed at Fenway, it was cringey (and no I'm not making fun of her brother)

She comes off like any other brain dead celebrity. "This is everything for me" NOT ANYMORE :story:

LOL MJF eats dicks, rotten detached dicks that is. What a way to ruin his only redeeming quality but I didn't expect much from someone insecure and we all know what Vince thinks about people like that.

It's hilarious how high Sasha thinks of herself, her generation is so underwhelming. I hope she's so far up her own ass that she actually quits and goes to Japan so the Joshis show her how much she sucks. Joshis get a bad rep from autistic territory fans but they are tough, the great ones fight and scream like actual wrestlers and would beat the shit out of someone who makes mistakes in the ring like Sasha. For fucks sake she's now considered a veteran and still has moments where she doesn't know what to do next.

I can't believe they didn't drop Sasha when she injured Paige enough to force her to retire.

The more I think about it, the more I believe Kevin Nash may actually be one of the most destructive men in wrestling history. Not in the sense that he had devastating offense in the ring; in the sense that everything he touched turned to shit.

WWF made him champion and he was one of the lowest-drawing champions of all time. He went to WCW and the NWO caught a lot of attention, but he made WCW all about him and basically choked the life out of it, even after Hogan had left. Seriously, looking at how he behaved in WCW, it was like he was TRYING to destroy the promotion for lulz. although he was admittedly far from the only deciding factor on that

Later he went to TNA and screwed that up as well, although that can also be put on Hogan with Nash just along for the ride. He came back to WWE and ruined the Summer of Punk.

And it’s not like he was ever even a good wrestler. He was tall, had an imposing presence, and had pretty good charisma on the mic (even if he didn’t know the difference between an adjective and a verb), but even Hogan was a better actual worker (never mind Hall, who was legit great).

I’m sure he has fans who will tell me at length how great he was and how I’m stupid, but the evidence is there in the trail of scorched earth stretching back for miles behind him.

It depends on where you go and who you're working with these days. I've had lucha shows where every spot was mapped out in a multi-man elimination match and I have had matches with old hands that whisper "do a back bump" and execute. I prefer the latter over the former because you feed off the crowd easier that way.

It's weird because I'm sure Stardom would take her for the name recognition, but I actually can't imagine her trying to wrestle a main event with their top eight women.

I'll feel like Syuri would just legit beat the shit out of her at some point in the match.

Biggest drawing champ ever:

Those are just profits mind you.

On a similar track since hall was clearly the janetty of the "core" NWO why did he never get a single world title reign despite being clearly the best worker of the 3? Was it really something as simple as Hogan and nash wouldn't allow it as long as they were around? Or was it something else?

Um maybe being a drunk?

Money and miles, that's all that matters

Whooo boy I was wrong about it being a work.

Apparently Molly Holly was the one who broke the news that the original plans were still going on, that it would lead to a breakup angle. They already announced the main event by then, and the two walked out shortly after the show rundown. Vince was at Gorilla (as usual), so he had no idea what was happening backstage between the two and producers until it was too late. The promo with Becky Lynch and Adam Pierce was completely done on the fly at Becky's request.

The feeling from the other wrestlers backstage is that Banks and Naomi walking out came out of left field and that they are taking themselves too seriously.
They are absolutely taking themselves too seriously. To the rest of the current convo about Kevin Nash, say whatever you want about him but he's a prophet as evidenced by Sasha/Naomi last night. The marks are in the fucking ring.

I've been hearing rumors that due to the Hitler salute thing, Nash Carter/Zachary Wentz has been secretly removed as part of the next WWE 2k22 DLC from within the files, as MSK is no longer listed as a team in there..
This is from the guy who's dug through the game's files to get wrestlers that are locked behind modes and putting them up as DLC.
The 2K site lists him as still being in but if they end up removing him at the last minute, that'd be fucking shitty. Could it potentially lead to a class action due to them not putting a disclaimer about changes to DLC post announcements?

I know a lot of you on this forum are on the spectrum, but please consider for one second how stupid the idea of getting hundreds of people together to form a class action lawsuit over Nash fucking Carter being DLC is. He'd just join guys like Yoshi Tatsu who were DLC and literally nobody fucking used.
