The more I think about it, the more I believe Kevin Nash may actually be one of the most destructive men in wrestling history. Not in the sense that he had devastating offense in the ring; in the sense that everything he touched turned to shit.
WWF made him champion and he was one of the lowest-drawing champions of all time. He went to WCW and the NWO caught a lot of attention, but he made WCW all about him and basically choked the life out of it, even after Hogan had left. Seriously, looking at how he behaved in WCW, it was like he was TRYING to destroy the promotion for lulz. although he was admittedly far from the only deciding factor on that
Later he went to TNA and screwed that up as well, although that can also be put on Hogan with Nash just along for the ride. He came back to WWE and ruined the Summer of Punk.
And it’s not like he was ever even a good wrestler. He was tall, had an imposing presence, and had pretty good charisma on the mic (even if he didn’t know the difference between an adjective and a verb), but even Hogan was a better actual worker (never mind Hall, who was legit great).
I’m sure he has fans who will tell me at length how great he was and how I’m stupid, but the evidence is there in the trail of scorched earth stretching back for miles behind him.
