I have another Ingredient story. Thought about posting it a few weeks back, but decided not to, until several people here reported something similar.
I usually get an "italian herbal mix" pack that contains a buch of different herbs and a bit of tiny dried garlic pieces.
Just got a pack recently and for the first time in forever (like a decade+) i have noticed a severe change to how these herbs look and feel.
Way tinier pieces, no more garlic whatsoever and all round just a lot drier and cheaper feeling in your hands than before.
Basically like a completely different brand despite not even having a "new mix" sticker on the pack. Tastes okay but different.
This constant gas-lighting by products is the worst.
Not only is random crap not available all the time, but now you also got to watch out for basically buying bootleg versions of the real products even if something is in stock.
The foodstuffs is now about as trustworthy as a Gucci handbag sold by a 75 year old turkish man out of the back of a van in a dark alley in the bad district of istanbul at night.
Would not be surprised if future "ingredient lists" are either completely fictional or just a QR code that allows you to look up what exactly is in your mystery box.
I imagine being actually autistic (and relying on things being familiar) is literal hell now.
Even your favorite brand of Tendies taste weird and new. And no amount of "Reeeeing" can bring the old ones back. F.
I never did like that minimalist lifestyle bullshit. It's appealing to property ladder climbers, who want a home to look saleable, or to people who want to emulate "influencers" (who always seem to inhabit airy, featureless voids, decorated with the minimum necessary to break up the background,) but it's never a viable lifestyle.
I would like to point out that the thinking mans minimalism is simply self-control over your materialistic desires.
You dont have to get rid of your stuff to stop your life from being defined by what you own. Hell, enjoy your purchases too.
But dont live for the next release. Dont let it get to you when you cant buy something. Be mindful about your Materialism.
"Minimalism" is just the Coomsoomer version of the monk larp lifestyle.
Imo its surrendering to your materialism because its a clear admission that only a strict separation from property can stop you from consooming uncontrollably.
Just like an alcoholic who cant beat his addiction unless he completely abstains from drinking. Its admission that your willpower cannot stop the addiction alone.
