EDIT: Ina might not have cried, but I guarantee she's bawling her eyes out now that the stream is over

has Korone interacted with Ina outside of big collabs tho? I feel like that may or may not be a driving factor for the DOOG to show up. Korone ofc could've just been dog brain too and saw a squirrel and ran off or the like. Wouldn't put it past her.

I think she just doesn't understand the importance of the character birthdays in this sphere, she's always been the one the most distant from the overall anime/weeb culture all of this stuff can tend to entail. In the end these birthday streams are for the character, not the person behind the screen. While I like Calli a ton, I can easily criticize the fact she is a terrible actress. Calli is not the pink haired anime girl, it's just Karen. She probably views her genmates the same way. I'm sure she'd go all out doing something for the person behind Ina's real birthday.

I'm not saying the the person who gets these well wishes and messages aren't actually feeling the positive vibes from it or shouldn't - Ina obviously is and Ina's great, but that's just why I think some people are aloof about this stuff.
I can't speak to the enthusiasm she may have brought to Zen's redebut, I ain't watching that clip cause the TTS gives me the heebie jeebies.

Also his fanbase is a very rare specimen in which most of them know that Zen might not be a female but they still support him, feeding that meme of female vtubers being males behind the camera, supporting a vtuber like that its seen as extremely weird & horrifing even inside the vtuber fan sphere.

I honestly didnt expect to get aprovals instead of top hats, considering how the thread badly reacted before at the minimal criticism to Calli. Im glad this isnt a hugbox like certain places, or maybe the thread learned to tolerate different opinions or criticism.

Also, I think Cali just dropped the ball with the birthday call. Hopefully she improves on that, but as long as she showed Ina love privately, I don't think it's a sign of anything but carelessness. It is bad optics, though.
