Yesterday I was thinking that it could be because they did this big off-collab unarchived thing over Yamagami Karuta's 3D debut which might have pissed people off.

I could do some digging later once I've finished studying.

I don't like Lilly because I'm not a coomer, but she has the best model by far, It moves so fluidly it really makes corporations look bad and they should either update models, or hold future releases to higher standards.

Veibae always had an aura of being a total bitch, it's really not surprising given some of the drama in the past with her talking shit. Vshoujo is generally nasty.

Speaking of models, I think Kiara has a beautiful model and really good, expressive rigging. She's very fluid compared to most holos. Not as fluid as Lilly, but Lilly looks a little too fluid to me. Sort of... gelatinous? Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, but for me Lilly's model is too much whereas Kiara's is just right.

Towa and Kaela also have standout beautiful models in my opinion, though the rigging isn't as fluid for them.

If we go based solely on Hololive models I think Baelz has the best expressions. I get why you mean about Lilly coming off as too fluid, but it just looks better than some who are more rigid. Thank you to whoever told me about how bad Pekora's mouth movements were, cant unsee it.

I had the same thing with Subaru, although stuff like that might not be exclusively due to (bad) rigging / model, but also the way they are positioned in relation to the phone.
I could imagine mouth movements being the first thing to fail if the setup is not perfect, while general movements might still be fine.
Most likely a combination of both tho.

I don't know how well a Kson - Holo collab would be received, i'd imagine some holos would be careful atleast.
My bet would be on Haachama being the first one.
