It is genuinely interesting to me how those just young enough not to have any direct memories of living under the political influence of the religious right have come to ape its behaviors, hypersensitivity, and hysterical rhetoric to a tee but from the other side of the political equation. This isn't my personal opinion despite being a lefty but the general consensus is that even if someone is being a piece of shit, it's better to attack them for being a shitty person without invalidating their gender identity, because (to them) it has nothing to do with their behaviour. I'd still consider it debatable but I'm ambivalent on the issue. I will say that keffals is a special case in which them being trans and being a constant victim is how they get more online clout and fuel for the grift.

I'd also note that attacking them on said identity allows them to grift off their "persecution". IDK, genuinely don't have a problem with trans people, Keffals is just an asshole that attacks friends. I generally try to preface myself my position on these things but also noting as long as people in chat and the comments don't do illegal shit like calls for violence that I really don't care and will not try to make people conform to my opinions.
