Yeah that chart is just /x being /x and just compiling channels they like into categories. It's a good chart if you want to find some channels that might not be so well known.

I've been noticing that a lot of YouTubers have been trying to make compilation videos of their older work and release them in one long formatted viewing for people that don't want to look them up for themselves. Isn't that what the playlist feature is for?

Yes, but the compilations remove the ending card between the videos. That way you can watch them one after the other without interruption.

Although, if you've seen the videos already then none of this matters to you.
