It's so weird to read this because honestly it's the opposite? If anything, I resent trans people because they think that being a woman is about conforming to stereotypes about womanhood. They push the same narrative that made me feel horrible about myself as a teenager - that I was "less of a woman" if I didn't behave accordingly to "gender norms".
I don't care if a man wears a dress, I care that a man wears a dress and thinks wearing a dress makes him a woman because he thinks that dresses, make up and liking pink is what makes you a woman. This line of thinking implies I am less of a woman if I don't like wearing dresses.

Which is quite long, considering every time it turns out some chemical or psychiatric technique turns out to have devastating consequences in people the main takeaway is always "we better not learn anything from this"

The John Mulaney backlash is particularly funny to me, for many reasons.

Troons and other crazed lefties "adopted" him as "their guy" because he was the "inoffensive PC comedian", and thus staked "ownership" to him. Now because of this, they view bringing Chappelle on stage as a betrayal and him spitting in their face. Even though John  never acknowledged himself as that clean PC comedian for them. It's almost as if people have a mind of their own! Who knew.

And now much like Chris Pratt, he is now being shunned and tossed aside over literally nothing.

"Never meet your heroes" isn't just a phrase, it's advice. Celebs owe you nothing, and they are NOT your parasocial friend.

The bizarre thing to me is that Mulaney never presented himself as wholesome. "The One Thing," one of his most famous bits, literally has the fact that John was an alcoholic as part of the basis for the story. In his student loan bit, he mentioned doing hard drugs. He had a whole bit about trying to trick his doctor into giving him a Xanax prescription.

And now you have all these fuckheads pretending like they thought he was never funny and that they never liked him. I'm curious to see who they'll cannibalize next. I'd say Colbert, but they already tried that, so I think maybe they'll zero in on Seth Meyers or John Oliver instead.

Agreed, as a long time fan of his I’ve never understood this characterization either. His most popular stand-up specials have him making fun of gays, blacks & the ”unhoused,” and he’s never really done political humour besides the “horse-in-a-hospital” bit about Trump. And the Oh, Hello stuff with Nick Kroll actually gets pretty based.

I think troons are so allergic to humour because their entire movement, ideology and identities are built on such a fragile house of cards that the slightest breeze of pushback could knock it all down. Very hard to be funny when you take the stupidest shit in the world so seriously.

The map shows the most in the South because the South is the region with the highest population. They teach you in introductory stats courses not to make maps like this. Going by the 2020 census, it would actually put the highest concentration in the West, at 0.551% of the population. The South is at 0.498%, the Northeast at 0.410%, and the Midwest at 0.399%.
