"Diversity" becomes a problem when its forced upon others and/or make it a requirement while simultaneously trying to mesh groups together that really aren't compatible.
I grew up being taught that racism was bad, you shouldn't hate someone just for being biracial cause it's not their fault, etc. and everything was all good. I had no "white guilt." My K12 school was majority white but we still had other races and nobody cared...there was no problem. "Diversity" either happened or it didn't, both naturally. This was the rural South. Then around 2012 I started getting told being white was some cardinal sin and that it's my fault the "black community" idolizes cannibalistic culture.
Now you have people trying to pretend fundamentalists Muslims can coexist with the alphabet group and Asians not getting hired or accepted because they aren't brown enough for the quota.
This is regarding race as an example but the same "rules" more or less apply when talking about the alphabet groups and spiritual beliefs.

If you read the article you linked, it blames the unhappiness of single, childless, middle-aged, professional women on...married women still having to do things for men. I was explaining the how that would make it seem workable to an investor. I’m not saying that it is how things are going to pan out once things leave the prototyping table, just that the logic does have a sound enough basis to convince someone to hand over their cash.
This is true, I‘m just saying that as usual they can’t even target the right gas to panic over, nor can they make a solution even if they could.
This is a bit of a side tangent here but I tried explaining something similar to this problem to my hardcore Democrat parents when my Dad complained about the current crop of children in the school system acting foolish.
He tried to blame videogames and the “you gamer people” for this and I responded by saying that no, this is everyone that was kissing your generation’s ass for benefits raising their children to be hellions. When you have nothing but useless toadies as leadership, even down to the local community level, it will show. Even in my small hometown, no one in the slightest has the desire to actually be a respectable leader. They just expect to be obeyed and have the ground they walk on worshipped because they have the fancy title. What kind of children are raised by these communities? Bad ones.
Of course they retreated from the conversation with the usual “You’re just offended that I said something that hurt your pride.” method. The Democrats know for a fact that something is wrong, and their local communities are spiraling because of it. However they refuse to even entertain that maybe the people willing to argue against their “grand ideas” might have a point or two.

I fully agree with this.
I expect the same to happen with "sex work." I've already started to see it. Feminism is telling these women that sex work is empowering. When these women hit their 30s, and they realize that sex work is not empowering, they won't be able to bring themselves to say that feminism lied to them. They are going to double down and say "men took advantage of me. I just needed to pay my rent, so I had NO CHOICE but to sell sex and these creepy men bought it. These men KNEW (somehow) that I was in desperate need of money and took advantage of me."
Same thing for sugar baby websites. Some men are thinking "hey this is a great deal", and then 5-10 years down the line those same women are going to have receipts and blackmail them. Give me X payout or I'll tell your fiance/wife all about our history.

I can't recommend Ron Klain's twitter feed (@whcos) enough for people ITT. It's apparent that his primary strategy of dealing with crises is to just tweet through the pain, as there's always a new crop of utter cope-tweets whenever a scandal hits.
Him rationalizing Biden being underwater on almost every issue by highlighting the two where he's positive as "the biggest issues Biden inherited from the previous admin, so ha, we're doing good" might be a new low in terms of desperate coping.

So Biden is really high on that anti dementia meds since he just promised that the US would send troops to Taiwan if China invades. Of course the White House quickly walked that back.
