Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

I am guessing you are hurting and heartbroken about this tragedy. Most here are too. Personally, it breaks my heart that young kids are dead. Words cannot begin to describe what has occurred.

I am guessing part of you is seeking a way to express the grief that you feel. But when you look on here, you see discussions treating this like nothing is happening almost as if we do not share your grief.

While I cannot speak for everyone, most of us do. However, I would suspect like me many realize that seeking to lash out using our grief, for our grief to take control of our actions is not useful. We must face facts, our grief will not change the fact these kids are dead.

No amount of raging, tears, or gnashing of teeth will bring these little souls back, they will not heal their broken bodies, they will not consul the parents going through unimaginable agony.

So why should we rage? Why not grieve in our hearts but analyze with our brains? You are shocked that we analyze the ramifications of this?

If you are registered to vote in Florida then you're a Florida resident even if you live in slav land. You will have to acquire your firearm in Florida, either privately from a Florida resident or from a Florida FFL. The only way to avoid transacting physically in person would be to get the cooperation of a family member or a trusted friend (Florida residents only). You can ask them for a gun as a gift and they can buy that gun and gift it to you, you cannot exchange anything of value. You can ask to buy a gun from them that they already own and have them store it for you. Asking them to buy a gun for the purpose of selling to you is asking the buyer to lie on the forms (criminal) and could be prosecuted as a straw sale (but isn't actually one since you aren't a prohibited possessor but who wants to be technically right while in AFT custody?). Buying a gun on your behalf in a private sale might avoid this. As others have mentioned, guns can be bought by trusts but that's not really worth messing with besides for NFA items.

Otherwise your options are to take a trip back to Gatorland and buy in person. Private sale just requires you both to have Florida residence, so all they will want to see is your valid ID that says Florida. At FFL you will have to fill a 4473 which you will need to provide your current address which will be checked against your ID. Use whatever address you are registered to vote at, this is your residence. If your ID/passport lists a different address you will need a government document showing the current address (voter registration paperwork). If you're somehow registered to vote at Kinkos instead of a residence then IDK go look for a black market Yugoslav war AK locally because that'll probably be easier.

They played baseball that night and on Monday when a bomb threat was called in they didn't even evacuate the building.
