It's an interesting discussion. I once knew this annoying faggot in middle school that was alot like Nick, in that he fit the traits you described (lack of empathy, insecurity, egotism) and he bragged about his autism diagnosis. Although I'm not a psychologist by any means, I think Nick is closer to autism to anything else, since he still has consideration for his mother and family. The fact that he responded so quickly to Metokur bringing up his Moms cancer in their debate points to this, in my view. Nick can feel empathy for certain people, but its largely lacking outside of his own family. Again I don't know what Nick's mental health is like, but hopefully whenever he commits a serious crime and gets psychologically evaluated in prison, we'll actually get a real peak into his mind and what he thinks.
