President Joe Biden on Tuesday said that the United States will impose sanctions “far beyond” the ones that the United States imposed in 2014 following the annexation of the Crimean peninsula.

“This is the beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Biden said in a White House speech, signaling a shift in his administration’s position. “We will continue to escalate sanctions if Russia escalates,” he added.

Russian elites and their family members will also soon face sanctions, Biden said, adding that “Russia will pay an even steeper price” if Moscow decides to push forward into Ukraine. Two Russian banks and Russian sovereign debt will also be sanctioned, he said.

Also in his speech, Biden said he would send more U.S. troops to the Baltic states as a defensive measure to strengthen NATO’s position in the area.

Russia shares a border with Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops to go into the separatist Donetsk and Lugansk regions in eastern Ukraine after a lengthy speech in which he recognized the two regions’ independence.

Western powers decried the move and began to slap sanctions on certain Russian individuals, while Germany announced it would halt plans to go ahead with the Russia-to-Germany Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

At home, Biden is facing bipartisan pressure to take more extensive actions against Russia following Putin’s decision. However, a recent poll showed that a majority of Americans believe that sending troops to Ukraine is a “bad idea,” and a slim minority believes it’s a good one.

All 27 European Union countries unanimously agreed on an initial list of sanctions targeting Russian authorities, said French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, and EU foreign affairs head Josep Borell claimed the package “will hurt Russia … a lot.”

Earlier Tuesday, Borell asserted that Russian troops have already entered the Donbas region, which comprises Donetsk and Lugansk, which are under the control of pro-Russia groups since 2014.

And on Tuesday, the Russian Parliament approved a Putin-back plan to use military force outside of Russia’s borders as Putin further said that Russia confirmed it would recognize the expanded borders of Lugansk and Donetsk.

“We recognized the states,” the Russian president said. “That means we recognized all of their fundamental documents, including the constitution, where it is written that their [borders] are the territories at the time the two regions were part of Ukraine.”

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Putin said that Ukraine is “not interested in peaceful solutions” and that “every day, they are amassing troops in the Donbas.”

Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday morning again downplayed the prospect of a Russian invasion and proclaimed: “There will be no war.”

“There will not be an all-out war against Ukraine, and there will not be a broad escalation from Russia. If there is, then we will put Ukraine on a war footing,” he said in a televised address.

The White House began to signal that they would shift their own position on whether it’s the start of an invasion.

“We think this is, yes, the beginning of an invasion, Russia’s latest invasion into Ukraine,” said Jon Finer, the White House deputy national security adviser in public remarks. “An invasion is an invasion and that is what is underway.”

For weeks, Western governments have been claiming Moscow would invade its neighbor after Russia gathered some 150,000 troops along the countries’ borders. They alleged that the Kremlin would attempt to come up with a pretext to attack, while some officials on Monday said Putin’s speech recognizing the two regions was just that.

But Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told reporters Tuesday that Russia’s “latest invasion” of Ukraine is threatening stability in the region, but he asserted that Putin can “still avoid a full blown, tragic war of choice.”

You're confusing your own arguments - first you were saying that muslim crime was tolerated by the police because... reasons... and then you shifted to condemning Putin and the Russian government for arresting nationalists.

Nationalist rioted, some of them were arrested, but in the end the muzzie in question was re-arrested and sentenced to 20 years in prison for murder. It set a precedent that these sort of crimes by certain religions/nationalities will not be tolerated by the population.

Also, you didn't need to become a quisling to renounce extremism, y'know?
I didn't condemn it, I merely stated the facts. What I condemn is unjust imprisonment, regardless of ideology.

I gave you just couple examples out of many. This shit happens constantly, and immigration is a big issue in Russia, it's just not something that propaganda outlets the likes of RT are going to cover.
Russia is not some kind of based white heaven, anyone thinking otherwise is patently retarded and should stop chugging Kremlin's tard cum.
Culturally speaking, even the supposed ethnic Russians could be hardly considered white.

He probably thinks it's justified imprisonment of undesirables.

It's more like a white hell with everything bad about the West magnified.
-The west has LGBT parades, Russia has a conscript army full of sodomy and sexual abuse.
-The west has increasing large government, Russia is ruled by a wannabe-emperor who can throw you in jail for any reason he wants.
-The west has decreasing birthrates, Russia has massive amounts of abortion that make the Chinese feel inadequate.
-The west has secularism and degeneracy challenging the traditional role of religion, Russia has a state church that has been hollowed out into a state organ.
-The west bungled the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan, Russia bungled up their Special Military Operation in such a way that their army is now the second most-powerful army in Ukraine.

Culturally speaking, even the supposed ethnic Russians could be hardly considered white.
Siberia itself won't be white for long. It'll be Chinese. And the way this war keeps on going, the rest of Russia will soon follow.

So I've been watching the maps, such as they are for a few days. I still think this war gets more absurd by the second, and really, I think Ukraine is in the right as much as they can be.

Russia now basically has their land bridge to Crimea and most of the coast. They could literally declare "victory" over the "nazis" and end this bullshit today, but we all know that's not going to happen.

For some stupid reason, whether pride or slavic stubbornness, Putin, for all his faults and good points, seems to want to keep stomping on his wang. If Finland and Sweden join NATO, then a wider confrontation is basically inevitable.

I wish I knew what the endgame or even plan b was from the Kremlin. Their A game never showed up, and now Russia is even more of an international pariah than it was before.
It's darkly humorous that a flagship gets sunk by an enemy with no navy, and it's the same with just about all the rest of this whole thing.

I doubt it will happen, but if WW3 starts because of this nonsense, it was nice shitposting with you autists.

Guys? I'm going to advance a bit of an "out there" kind of opinion. Maybe; juuuusssstttt maaaaayyyybbbbeeee the guy who has an avatar of Beetlejuice jacking himself off isn't posting in good faith, and replying to that person might, just might mind you, be not worth your time.

Now, on the actual topic of the thread; it seems like the Russians have made some small gains, but the losses they have taken from making those gains have led to them having to roll out the museum pieces for their armored columns. Given this, once Ukraine's reservists, conscripts, etc are ready, I expect the Russians will gradually begin to be rolled back in eastern/south eastern Ukraine.

The only real questions are: 1. How long will it take before the counter-offensive begins in earnest? 2. How long will said counter-offensive last? 3.Will Crimea and all other territory lost in 2014 be retaken? and finally, how much asspained whining will there be from the vatniks and their western supporters once this shitshow finally ends with Russia being thoroughly beaten down?

Inb4 comedy "Putin just declares victory and has his armies leave the country." option.

He's an American who saw a pond full of easily trollable fish and you've all been clamoring for his bait ever since. He just intentionally writes stuff he knows is going to piss you off with just the thinnest veneer of plausibility so that you keep shitting the thread up by engaging. Pages and pages of cold war dick measuring contests instead of news discussion because none of you learned basic internet shit when you were teenagers and can't spot an obvious troll when they're being obvious.

He's not an actual Russian agent, for Chrissake, he's a basic bitch troll.
Not really. You haven't had any encounter with true believers in the Russian section of the Internet, did you? He does speak Russian, he is likely Russian (he mentioned he was arguing with Western Ukrainians since the 90s about Ukraine) and he keeps dropping hints about his age. Russian 35-40-year-old generation, entering middle age is exactly like that. They've hardened in their beliefs, they are impenetrable to other opinions (because they think they've acquired the defence of age and experience) and they write inflammatory shit not just because they enjoy the reaction - they consider annoying other people as a part of their mission to "fight" their ideological opponents. They are that pathetic yes and they usually project this specific point to people who disagree with them. It also appears to be present in both Russians proper and emigres, which almost suggests a genetic component to their need to defend the "hive".

Besides, all y'all niggers who insisted that the Internet must be treated not as meatspace have already lost 10 years ago. Normies and normie-adjacent have connected the Internet to meatspace, so just "ignoring" trolls no longer works, just like it doesn't work to ignore bullies.

They see a stable Christian empire that will save them from the manipulations of the godless Bolshevik Jews, even though modern Russia simps for the USSR and doesn't seek to serve anyone but its own upper class.

Why wouldn't they? During the cold war USSR was the only superpower besides the USA, and they had way more territory and way more power. And they were they were the main country defeating Germany in World War II. They have a lot to feel proud for.

The best vaccine against Russiaboo idiocy is experiencing Russia firsthand.

Well, I won't deny that Russia is a shithole internally. But their foreign policy is top notch and they successfully oppose the USA/NATO/globohomo system.

They will once those populations outnumber the ethnic Russians.

That won't be happening in a looooooong time. Enough to iron out some kinks.

White Russian Christians are dying by the bucketloads thanks to your beloved pseudo-Tsar. I hesitate to call Putin a real Tsar because aside from the fact that he didn't have the balls to crown himself, he also chimps out against the international community for the stupidest things, whereas the Tsars, for all their repressive actions towards their own people, still cooperated with international powers and were still respected instead of loathed by the rest of Europe. They were tyrants that you can do business with, unlike the Soviets and their modern successors.

Look at the countries that applied sanctions on Russia:

Hardly most of the world.

Russia's relations with non-western countries are just fine.

And look! Massive $10 billion Russia-Thailand trade deal incoming!

Why not? Germans who renounced Nazism became traitors in the eyes of their own country.

They were just renouncing the ideology, not going full Benedict Arnold like our friend Astro here.

I didn't condemn it, I merely stated the facts. What I condemn is unjust imprisonment, regardless of ideology.

Which didn't refute any of my arguments.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to receive a unjust sentence and end up in prison. Who would?

white.

Traditionally empires are composed of diverse peoples. Genocide isn't really a popular policy nowadays.

Enlighten me on how Russians aren't white.

Russia is buckling as of this moment:

Only an idiot can say that Russia is doing well. Outside of flattening homes and killing civilians, they have accomplished little.

Propaganda is heavy on both sides - I recommed you check out SouthFront.org to find out what's really going on in the battlefield.

The USSR made the lives of its subjects miserable. Also, they were Nazi Germany's allies during the beginning of WW2; Germany would not have dared to invade Poland if they knew they were fighting a two-front war from the start. The USSR remained their ally until Hitler betrayed them in Operation Barbarossa. Also, it was American financial and material support that helped the Soviets win against Germany. If the Americans didn't help them, Hitler would have defeated them rather handily.

Well, I won't deny that Russia is a shithole internally. But their foreign policy is top notch and they successfully oppose the USA/NATO/globohomo system.
Er, no it doesn't. If anything, they made GLOBOHOMO even more powerful by giving them a reason to unite. Before this, NATO was considered an aging relic, and the GLOBOHOMO agenda was seen as malicious. Now? GLOBOHOMO are the good guys, and NATO has a reason to exist, with new members coming in.

That won't be happening in a looooooong time. Enough to iron out some kinks.
It's happening now. Ethnic Russians were already dying off due to the large number of abortions, as well as alcohol abuse which lowers testosterone and causes domestic violence. But thanks to this war, Russia's place as China's vassal is all but assured.

Look at the countries that applied sanctions on Russia:

Hardly most of the world.
True-it's most of the world that isn't a second or third-world shithole. Most of the countries that applies sanctions to Russia are the wealthiest in the world. Meaning that the rest of Russia's would-be trading partners do not have as much capital as the countries that cut ties with them economically.

Russia's relations with non-western countries are just fine.
And? Said non-western countries do not like each other that much. China and India hate each other, and they both have enemies from the Muslim world.

$10 billion is a drop in the bucket. In March, they were losing $20 billion a day:

Now, they're losing $900 million a day:

That ten billion won't last very long.

They were just renouncing the ideology, not going full Benedict Arnold like our friend Astro here.
That's one and the same. Renouncing your faith in your leaders is tantamount to treason. If a German renounced National Socialism in WW2 publicly, they'd have him shot.

Propaganda is heavy on both sides - I recommed you check out SouthFront.org to find out what's really going on in the battlefield.
Er, how's about no? Having only one source is bullshit.

The Soviet Union was a miserable tyranny that treated their own people like shit. Furthermore, they weren't the "main country" defeating Germany in World War 2. Without the Southern and Western European fronts drawing German forces away from the Eastern European front the war would have ended in a stalemate at best, and without the massive quantities of foreign aid the USSR received from the US, the Russians may well have lost at least some land to the Germans in exchange for a peace deal.

Those highly mobile counter-offensives in 1943 don't happen at all without American aid, and the Soviets would have been facing more German ground and air forces without the US/UK in the war.

Have either side budged since last month?
Yes but still relatively slow. Anyone who says Ukraine has gained ground or halted the invasion is lying, willfully or otherwise. The main newsworthy event in the last month was Azov largely giving up in Mariupol and then being bused off by Russia. Depending on the news you read this was either "Azov does tactical withdraw from Azovstal" or "Azov absolutely destroyed!1!" but reality is they mostly got carted off by russkies with a subset of holdouts.

There was also a failed Russian river crossing that I only mention so spergs know I'm aware but if you care you can look it up in either thread or on the news, the pics tell the story well enough.

Currently there's speculation (surprise!) on some T-62s and who they could possibly be going to. The implications being Russian desperation. Truth is you and everyone in here will have to wait and see where they end up but even then Ukraine has slowed down (officially and unofficially) on their "RUSSIANS BTFO" clips.

The best primary-source stuff unfortunately comes from Telegram which I find ironic since the company, Telegram, has had to leave Russia (and other countries) to maintain their encryption methodology else they'd have to hand a set of keys (so to speak) to the government.

They were extremely financed by America. Without it. Stalin would have been forced to eat Hitler's toenails on live air in the middle of Red Square.

lol
Literally everybody hates having to deal with Russia, includig their so called allies. Just ask the Germans about that shit.

Literally the strongest and most stable countries in the world are taking a shit on Russia with massive public support.
But woe is the West. Fucking mexico and central africa are still on Russia's side.
Hardly most of the world.
The important part of the world. That's the punchline.
Russia's relations with non-western countries are just fine.
It's never fine.
Anything east of Europe is basically tribalism.
And look! Massive $10 billion Russia-Thailand trade deal incoming!
10 billion is chump change lol
Also wait and see how long the deal will last once the tribes start bickering over the spoils.
Enlighten me on how Russians aren't white.
Are white trash rednecks who act and live like retards white enough for you?
How about a bunch of half literate slavs who survive onn potato juice throughout the winter?

We've also slowed down posting them here as really there's only so many times you can watch some poor fucks get blown up in their lada built in 1978.

The Youngest T-62's are the M refits from the 1980s.

I don't know about you, friend, but I'd probably assume the war is still going pretty wonkily for my side if the British Army suddenly started shipping around Centurions even if they were the MK XIII's.

From what we've seen as well, they've been so far shipped to Polohy after first being spotted down near Crimea, which is not along current Russian advancement axis, nor an area where the DPR and LPR is heavily deployed. Which suggests they've sent them out there to replace losses and maybe make another mad dash towards Zaporizha. Could be going off to Kherson but why they didn't take a more coastal route is anybody's guess.

Unironic cope, there's a lot less out there.

I don't care to try to track weapon shipments for either side. Unless you're an intel analyst for Ukraine there's no reason to since we can just wait and see. Surely we'll get dozens of clips of T-62s being destroyed and farmers towing them. 🙄

It's quite telling that these people consider affirming the fact that richest countries in the world are allied with Ukraine against Russia an argument in their favor.
It's even more hilarious to see them gobble up Xi's micropenis because they're supposedly supporting Russia and are its greatest ally, even though Germany probably did more for Ukraine in this conflict than China did for Russia.
To be willing to overlook everything that is China just to own the libs is exceptional to say the least.

Pathetic.
