Cartoon Industry thread - Showcasing the Spergery of the Animation Industry

The rumor that all the people who make these cartoons spreading STDs between each other doesn't surprise me like it should.
Not sure how valid the STD thing is, but hiring boyfriends/girlfriends, spouses etc. Is common in the modern animation industry.
Sugar hired her boyfriend to work on Steven Universe.
Noel Stevenson hired her wife (to whom Noel was a side fuck for a few years, while she was still with her boyfriend) to work on Netflix She-Ra.

The list goes on.

I'm surprised OK KO was brought up and nobody pointed out the episode where it was full on pro-furry propaganda with a character near the end of the episode getting on their soapbox saying how it's "okay" to express yourself like this:
The animators must've had a hard time animating the werecat licking himself with only one hand.

NGL, in my unpopular opinion, I actually liked OK KO.

But I can definitely agree with you and say there was some pretty stupid moments like that.

It has a decent premise and the animation can actually be pretty good at times, but for the life of me I can't get over the artstyle. It's way too simple for my taste.

Honestly at this point I'm pretty sure it all for budget reason. The Cal Arts style is easy to ship over seas and get animated fast. Its like that "Fast Fashion" crap they sell to kids: get it out fast, cheap, and have it be replaced in a year.

If I recall, the show also had a pro-gun control episode that did not do much to explain why we need stop gun violence in our neighborhoods and communities:

As someone that actually watched this episode in real time, I was stuck confused trying to figure what was the actual moral of the story in this one.

That reminds me of something specific from the powerpuff girls reboot. No, not the writer self-insert. Not the twerking either. But rather this.

For those unaware, here's a clip of a cartoon sperg explaining.
For those that are lazy, producers say it's about gender identity, while writers say it's not.

Someone going through a medical procedure, ignoring the multiple risks because they think it's their ticket to happiness, and end up an abomination who blames their own mistakes on others sounds pretty spot on for troons to.

That show has some of the worst cleanup I’ve ever seen. It looks like it wasn’t finished properly.

Definitely doesn't look finished at all. I also find it weird that the sound design is decent, but the animation is dogshit. It's not ugly like Problem Solverz is, but it is too basic looking.

They also had a lot of Gay characters on the show, but I'd personally like to mention that Ian once said that this character

Which just feels like obvious pandering

You look at what californians have been shitting out for this past decade and then wonder why anime and manga are becoming more and more popular with western kids (and everyone) in general.
So you think the likes of Steven Universe, OKKO, The Owl House, Amphibia, She Ra And The Princesses Of Power, etc are all garbage?!?. Honestly the past decade has seen some of the best animated shows ever
