I've listened to his music on bandcamp. I want to believe they put 0 effort on it, otherwise it would be very sad.
The production in their archaic ruin EP is abysmal. I understand what they're trying to recreate, but the problem is it already exists, and much better done, so it's a tad pointless. Bad mixing and recording are not LO-FI sound. Any music, no matter how abrasive or ugly you want it, needs depth in it sound, otherwise it sounds weak and one dimensional.
Their Melancholic Despodency song suffers from the same problem, but at least i found the idea behind the song somewhat amusing. To be fair, i consider it a progress in the artistic department. Don't expect to be blown away if you hear it, it's just a crescendo ineptly done.
Their VII song is the worst of all. It's their first song, so it's expected. They recorded their instruments (or whatever because i dont believe those drums are real, but it's so badly mixed i could be wrong) so lowly that you need to crank up the volume to really hear it. Obviously this is not mastered (i hope so at least). Limit it please, that volume is unacceptable in any kind of music.
I know eventually Moth will read this, so i will give you a free advise: experiment a bit with mixing and giving depth to the instruments (think left/right and front/back for starters), and not matter how basic, try to master a bit. You can make terrible noise if you want (i know very well some people love it), but it has to have depth to be enjoyable.

I lurked on the original horror yt thread for a long while after moth seethed (unprompted) over "online haters who talk shit in forums" during one of his videos, which lead to me searching his username on kf just to see if there were any hits. It was a great Streisand effect moment and I can only hope his lurking hobgoblin-like self reads this thread and seethes harder at the realization that his attempt at a blasé "fuck the haters" attitude just pointed someone in the right direction to talk more shit.

His videos were always being recommended to me but I never really watched them, just one about a lost Dir en grey album because I'm a fan of the band, but I forgot about him til I saw his name in the Boogie thread.
After that, I encountered a fair share of people criticising him and saying he's a creep. I don't believe people online calling others creeps and rapists til I see receipts, but in his case I'm inclined to believe because I saw the screenshots of the DMs he sent Boogie.
I don't know what the fuck his issues are but I believe he has many.

Anyway, I found his early videos to be decent background noise. I found some of the topics he was covering interesting and I was willing to forgive audio issues because he was still relatively new at the time. (That kind of thing is expected with newish channels and, more often than not, they improve their sound quality as they grow and learn as a content creator.) As he's continued on, his growing hostility towards the fans that dared to make suggestions on ways to improve his content started to irritate me, as did his disrespect for the topics he covered. He started acting more and more like some bratty edge lord, which made me even less willing to sit through his videos. I finally just unsubscribed because his videos became intolerable. His recent behavior in r/mondogore, along with the shit documented here (a lot of it I didn't know about) just cemented my negative view of him. His arrogance seems to have gotten worse after Wendigoon and MamaMax decided, for some fucking reason, to give him the time of day.
As I said in the Nexpo/horror youtuber thread, Moth NEEDS a pop filter, and seeing as they are cheap, easy to make, and portable, he has no excuse to not to have one.
