I can actually answer on why he used that particular clip.

It's some thing Distrokid offers to promote your song if you're paying them to distribute it. They have some stock TV show clips to choose from on their website that you can insert your song into for promotion.

Which is also how he had that Friends clip where the monkey played Yo Yovanna on the stereo. You have to be a paying Distrokid user to do it though.
