Yeah, there's really no reason to feel actually bad about Patch. If you ask me, the reason they have that GFM is one they looked for themselves. They were that stupid to believe someone was gonna give them 3000 dollars to write a blog or journal entry or whatever (because Patch is a journalist, guys) and then were surprised when it turned out to be one big scam. I don't know the intricate details anymore but I do know that Patch should've seen that coming, that was like a "this is too good to be true" situation.

Another reason to not feel bad about Patch is that they're an attention-seeking bitch, but I think that one was already clear from their vents. I've had my personal run-ins with Patch where they went off on me for some asinine reason and then after I explained them that they have no reason to be mad, they were actually mad at me for not making it clear that it was a joke or whatever. They always want to be in the spotlight and always want to be the special little victim snowflake. That friendship with Lily was purely for the Toonkritic drama and that was it. "Friends never support me"? Maybe try to support them for a change, Patch and don't always make it about you.

Her opinions on anarchism were voiced prevalently in the Legend of Korra is Garbage video. My introduction to Lily was through that video and I thought there were some interesting points in there (I've since learned they were just stolen from other people, of course) but also a number of red flags, and her tangent about anarchism was one of them.

Not that I'm an anarchist or somehow personally offended that she doesn't support anarchism, but her tangent about anarchism implied that she thought that the writers actually supported it. The villains of Season 3 are presented as anarchists who believe that, because the Earth Kingdom government is fundamentally corrupt, all concepts of government must be burned to the ground, and they'r'e used to present a philosophical challenge to Korra (season 4 would introduce a totalitarian in order to present the other extreme).

The villains are shown to have a point regarding centralization of power to a single monarch and a small structure of loyal-to-the-death ministers and secret police... but also show that pretty much immediately after the coup the whole thing falls apart. The point was never that the anarchists are right but that everybody has a perspective on the world and no one perspective is absolute, that multiple viewpoints have to be brought to the table, and that the Avatar's role as a force of balance is not just 'kill bad guys' but to also foster discussion between disparate viewpoints in order to foster peace and balance among nations and among human perspectives.

Lily managed to see that the anarchists weren't completely thrown under the bus and that some points about self-determination and government overreach were acknowledged as maybe not entirely wrong, and walked away with the conclusion that the show was advocating for anarchy. How do you call yourself a critic and somehow miss what was being said?

This is one of those rare occasions where I partially agree with Lily's take here. For those of you here who haven't dealt with genuinely abusive, uncaring, ego-driven parents or witnessed someone else go through it, consider yourself lucky. Those parents do exist and they cause far more damage to their kids, neurodivergent or not, than they will ever admit or be held accountable for.

As for Patch...as I said before, their statement to me was "don't bring it up at all", and it was in response to me asking them about something that directly involved them (the artwork with the dog). There was no clarifying anything. It was a clear and concise "Don't involve me". Also if I can have a moment of pettiness here, I'm not autistic but I'm also not NT. I'm ADHD. Regardless, that spiteful tone toward anyone NT for their own lack of clear communication is not the way to get people on their side.

They could have clarified if they didn't communicate something clearly, or just let people know if they had changed their mind. Acting like people were doing this intentionally to hurt them or disregard them is disingenuous.

In terms of Lily’s rant about parents, I think it’s less about agreeing that she is making a decent point about how some parents can act, and more about how Lily is probably massively projecting and lying about her own parents.
