YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

Awhile back I found out about this guy from him reviewing those animated propaganda vids JW shits out. Those animations are weird as hell and it was interesting to learn about them. He got quite a bit of views from them but now when he does them he reviews the same ones in the past and rambles more now about whatever than in the past. Hes falling into that pattern of making the same content of shitting on religion and right-wing individuals while saying the same shit everytime. He was ok a year or 2 ago, now hes just stale.

That's pretty much what I was noticing. His older stuff was pretty informative on some of the bizarre inner-workings of JW and their "Elders" being weirdos. He'd do similar stuff for other religions.

But his new stuff just leads to him rambling on about nothing. And he decided that supporting Trump is a 'Cult' and makes spergy videos about it, completely ignoring or denying the fact that his evangelical Atheism and Progressive hivemind stuff is just as much or more of a 'Cult'.

Does anybody here have any recommendations for female true crime YouTubers who don't pull that kind of shit? I remember one from awhile back but she took down her videos and left YouTube if memory serves correct.

Why specifically a female one?

I don't know any on YouTube, but all female True Crime enthusiasts I know IRL are fucking insane. It's about a 50/50split between girls that get hot and bothered thinking about death, pain, or gore and girls that have a fetish for serial killers.

I won't lie, I prefer his old content where he read shitty gaming creepypastas, did collabs with Mullet Mike (who is still doing the same thing) and read retarded garbage like hitler.exe. But I could still listen to him cover stupid topics like he does now if he wasn't such a fucking sperg when just normally speaking. I understand that he has his internet persona or whatever, but he gets way worked up on shit and can barely speak when talking about anything, he just has a really weird and unnatural way of speaking when he's not reading a story or some straight faced script. I'm also not watching a 4 hour long video about how MGS4 is some hidden masterpiece.

Obligatory not hate but….
I really really want to like true crime YouTuber, Kendall Rae. She and her husband seem like good people. I originally started watching her back in 2020, but stopped after she did the Johnny Gosch case, a true crime case that I’m autistically obsessed with. (Puzzle piece time) For those who don’t know, Johnny Gosch was kidnapped in the early morning hours on his paper route in West Des Moines, Iowa and believed to had been sold to a human trafficking ring that involved the Franklin Credit Union in Omaha. (I recommended watching Who Took Johnny Gosch? and reading The Franklin Coverup. Last Podcast on the Left has a really good episode called “The Satanic Government Pt. 1 & 2 that are great if you like podcasts and this story interests you. It’s absolutely, certifiably insane.)
In Kendall’s podcast called Mile Higher, they mention that Johnny was kidnapped on 42nd street in West Des Moines and the kidnapper supposedly asked “How do I get from 86th street from here?” Kendall and her husband thought that question was weird and out of place BUT if they had taken the time too look up these locations on google maps, like I did, they would realize that he asked that because 86th street is pretty close to his house and a very busy road, so it’s a street that Johnny was probably familiar with. It’s an easy question for a perpetrator to engage with a child in order to kidnap them. It’s hard to tell what the streets looked like back in the 1960’s but if Kendall took two seconds to look on google maps they’d have their question answered, and add a little depth to their podcast.
Myautism was triggered so I stopped watching until recently she had my favorite true crime YouTuber on, Stephanie Harlowe, who is as autistic as me when it comes to looking into cases. I thought if Stephanie gives Kendall the time of day, she must have gotten her shit together. Nope, it’s worse now.
Kendall and her husband, essentially, plagiarize documentaries, retelling them and calling it “research.” They’ll watch an episode of dateline or a Netflix true crime series and create a script around that narrative, doing little to no research of their own. It’s pretty pathetic and lazy. You might as well watch the documentary on your own. At least you get the entire story and visual from the source material.

If you’re looking for a good true crime podcast where the host does do deep dives into the cases, Timesuck by Dan Cummins is really good. Dude does his research and doesn’t just parrot off the Wikipedia article like a lot of these faggots do.

This is more a genre of videos, but I fucking hate the iceberg videos on YouTube. The Iceberg concept seems really cool but whenever I click on one, the people behind the videos are always bland and monotone as fuck, they don't make it entertaining in any way shape or form.

Ok, makeup channels arent for me to begin with, but i love a good murder mystery every now again but... it feels so disconected being this peppy personality, doing your make up like your going out for a friday night out with the girls, and their tone of voice sounds more like your gossiping with your gal pals than you know- speaking about a real murder or some other fucked up case like children being brutaly raped then murdered by sick psychopaths, but no - im using a number 10 concealor today and extra thick eyelashes!'

I just can't watch him at all anymore. It had already started beforehand, but I think when his decline really got bad is when the H3H3 drama happened.

I went through and pruned a good half of my old YouTube subs by googling their name with "trans rights" after. Almost all of them outwardly want to fuck trannies in any somewhat nerdy YouTube sphere. One channel that I really cannot stand at all is one called Kento Bento. If you're unfamiliar with him, he's some YouTuber who covers weird events that happened out in Asian countries like China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, etc using animations.

I cannot stand him for the fact the topics of most his videos come off as very clickbaity (especially with the titles and thumbnails), but also the fact I spent a good 3-4 years battling with YouTube's algorithm aggressively trying to get me to watch his videos. Whatever he did, he must've done something right to get the algorithm to aggressively promote his videos to me for that long.

Meme voice actors. The type from twitter that will read out memes for clout. Example of this would be people like Gianni Matragrano. Their content gets old extremely fast and they generally make a meme less funny with their forced voice acting. Not to mention they're always going to be extremely obnoxious once you start looking more into their backgrounds or twitters. Much like Kento Bento, it seems YouTube's algorithm aggressively promotes his channel and videos hard.

Shoddycast is another channel I absolutely loathe. I started watching his videos when I really got into fallout, and his early work on covering fallout lore was okay. But the videos got dumber as he decided he had to focus far more on making an animated fan fiction out of his lore series, along with pumping out clickbait garbage like "how your favorite fallout faction determines your politics" or "The science behind something something in a game". To summarize him in the best way possible: take the worst aspects of channels run by matpat like his pretentious thumbnails and titles, combine it with Oxhorn levels of Bethesda dickriding, and throw in some good old fashioned reddit style circlejerks over science and scientific accuracy in games and movies.

I have no idea why, but there's something about these Geek/nerd channels run by British people that almost always comes off as stupidly obnoxious and unlikeable. His videos all just look like the usual cookie cutter trash that will ride the algorithm train for a week before falling down into obscurity. I tried to watch a video of his and I gave up in seconds because of how much I loathed his voice and mannerisms.

Not exactly limited to YouTube, but that reminds me of the biggest thing I hate of all: fucking Critical Role.

It's a bunch of attention-whore voice actors circlejerking and "improvising" some of the most obnoxious, clichéd, and obviously-scripted dialogue I've ever heard.

I hate everything about it. Their shitty homebrew systems are trash, their "Storylines" are stupid, and the role-playing itself is cringey. The whole setup oozes smarmy pretentiousness.

The DM treats them with kid gloves constantly, to the point that there's no real, long-term danger or negative consequences for stupidity, because they're just along for the ride of whatever clichéd, set-in-stone story he's railroading them into.

The icing on the shit cake is that EVERYONE in the group acts like a starved attention whore trying to be the constantly be in the spotlight. And they all have bizarre simp fanbases that they constantly pander to.

And now they're adding all kinds of Woke nonsense to appease the LGBTWTFBBQs that infest their fanbase.


A bunch of my friends love this shit for some reason and will nonstop sperg out about it, despite being told that you don't care or that you actively dislike it. It's basically the Tabletop RPG version of what Big Bang Theory was to nerdy hobbies as a whole.

It's also responsible for the current special snowflake "Theater Kid" infestation in RPG groups and for newbies expecting every DM to be Matt Mercer handling them with kid gloves instead of a grizzled neckbeard who will make them work for their happy ending and will punish stupidity.

He mainly makes minecraft videos in the "I survived X days in minecraft" format, which is usually a challenge where players try to survive 100 days in hardcore(permadeath) minecraft popularized by Lukethenotable, Forge labs can't actually play minecraft so he constantly cheats in his videos, now i don't hate him because he dares to cheat at the minecraft game, its the fact he's not gotten better at all.

Here is your average forge labs minecraft video
day 1-12 are him being a noob at a game he's played for over two years
day 13-25 are when he starts to build a base, usually really large and time consuming to build
Some time in between day 20 and 30 he will die to something really obvious and simple to counter, he'll spend a minute or two "jokingly" explaining how it was unfair or doesn't count, and he will respawn and continue playing.
Day 30-50 are him dying a few more times, eventually turning off hardcore, while making slow progress on his base, he's probably somewhat more well geared at this point but still refuses to google anything to make him less of a tard.
Day 60-80 are basically just day 30-50 but somehow more boring , maybe one or two deaths or easily preventable accidents.
Day 81-100 are when he usually sets some goal for himself to beat , giving the video some sort of direction, or maybe he will get curb stomped by basic enemies and spend the last few days in his base.

His most recent video is easily his worst , from dying to simple archers and calling it unfair, making a mod pack , not reading what the mods do and bitching about it every 10 or so minutes, constantly doing the most brain dead things possible like lighting a wooden building on fire, leaving his horse in said building , coming back and acting surprised when its burned to the ground, and rage quitting at the 60 day mark, coming back two weeks later and acting like a angsty teenager at every slight inconvenience, if you told me he has a actual mental issue i would not doubt it one bit.

Quick math i did shows that he has played around 627 hours of minecraft just for his 100 days videos , not counting any other videos about minecraft.

I watched him back when he first blew up. He did RLcraft and blew up pretty much instantly since there were a lot of videos about RLcraft but he was the only half-decent guy making a full letsplay of it. I eventually got bored and left, and when I came back to him I was expecting him to have plateaued somewhere in the 6 digits but it turns out he's well past 4 million subscribers. I guess I'm just too old for minecraft.

Fuck dude, I used to watch Forge Labs back when he was called Mr Pokephile and exclusively did Halo Forge content, it was the shit back then and it seriously makes me sad that he just basically transitioned to these "challenge" and Minecraft videos. I stopped watching him awhile ago because of that, last video that I really remember of his was his video about war crimes and white phosphorous in Modern Warfare 2019.
