The only reason he even wants visitation is because he would consider it a win over the Vickers and something that would piss them off. He has no interest in providing for either of his children, he never even set up a nursery for Rozy, Meigh's parents had to throw her a baby shower and buy her baby-shit like a carseat and bassinet because Ralph couldn't be assed.

He doesn't think about getting Xander a gift that would make Xander happy or something that could be useful in taking care of his son, he probably hasn't had a single thought like "is Xander happy?" I doubt it, the reason he's taking all these trips is to get away from her, he sees children very much as a symbol of his masculinity in the same way some hood rat black guy sees them. Ideally he wanted to just cruise from woman to woman, impregnating and then abandoning them to raise his demon spawn by themselves, but Pantsu did something to rope him in and now he regrets it. He wants to be a single man in his mid 40s with 5 different kids from 5 different mothers (because he's mentally a nigger) but now he's "trapped" in a normal relationship and he hates every moment of it.

As for Mays parents, her last boyfriend was a self admitted pedophile and they had no problem with that, which should tell you all you need to know about them.
