The kids who grew up with social media practice about as much infosec as their boomer grandparents. Apparently only those who grew up in web 1.0 learnt the value of not attaching your virtual shit to your actual identity.
I blame Google, in the brief period of Google+ when they went from "never share your real name online" to "link your real name to all your accounts"

Ignorance of the rules is no excuse. If required to read the rules, the responsibility falls on the applicant for failing to adhere to the rules. Everybody should be given a chance. One chance. Agreeing to read the rules is there one chance.
This isn't just a rules issue, it's a culture one. Hard to enforce that through moderation.

An issue I find with A&N is that it's dwellers forget that one should not get emotionally involved with the internet. Laugh, make an insult and move on. It's not that hard.
Very fair, especially of a handful of posters. If you're not having fun you should get away from the screen for a bit.

Get rid of A&H forums.
My 2 cents: It wouldn't make a difference. People aren't joining because of A&N, it doesn't have a reputation beyond the site. KF having a alt-right stigma is entirely independent of any actual political dialogue here. It's the new coverage from shit like the Buffalo shooting and the Katherine Deves thing that make people think we're a political forum. Every time something like that happens there's a ton of coverage claiming the site is some alt-right haven (which I guess is true if you think not insta-banning nigger and hating trannys constitutes alt-right). The site could be Twitter 2.0 in terms of politics and that wouldn't change shit in terms of it's perception.

I don't think many of those types jump into A&N anyway. To this day I'm still one of the newer A&N regulars. I think on average we pick up like one new regular every month, and I don't see many of them stirring shit up outside that sub-forum.

nobody reads those.

you just gotta.. lurk. to understand people and to get a sense of humor about shit.
SCP wiki years ago used to require answering certain questions to register, the answers to which were contained in other important meta pages (like the site history page that went over the changes in writing culture). Pretty sure that was done away with given how shit SCP became, but it wasn't a bad idea.

I've seen some people registering with their real names on here lately, like it's a fucking LinkedIn. Do the invited users not go through the registration page that clearly states what kind of information will be gone after if they decide to make an account?
You're expect too much from twittards\reddifags.

Also, yeah that fair warning is here, safe and sound. Problem is that newly registered users don't give shit about that. Why tho, it's not like this is a forum that intentionally archive any titbit of retarded activities... oh wait. :suffering:

For anyone curious, he retired because I wouldn't let him ban anyone he wanted in A&H.
To the same crowd, the ultimate plan was to begin open discrimination against Reddit, Twitter, 4chan and Discord users to destroy the influence of other websites on A&H. I stand by this step as being necessary for the health of the board and KF as a whole. The actual number of those people was (before April/May this year anyway) much smaller than I had anticipated, this plan could have worked had registration stayed closed.

Makes no difference now, anyway.

I argued with L50LasPak before he was a mod and he had an axe to grind with me which was fine I don't care its not like I was not being a cunt. I made unpopular posts in an A&H thread and got banned, I sent in an appeal and was being reasonable with it and the guy full site banned me for no reason, like I could not access anything or contact anyone. That is the lore on why he is banned.

What annoys me is after Null reversed my ban I looked into him and found out we had a lot in common and played the same games and shit, we clearly got off on the wrong foot (which I tried to make amends with before my account was nuked). Still to this day I do not hate the guy and do hope he is better off not wasting his time trying to moderate the cancer that we know as A&H.
You lied straight to my face and still won't own up to it even after you've won. I was right about you, go fuck yourself.

I hope you realize one day how utterly nonsensical and self-important this post reads.

The mass shootings, Spicalos sperging out, and the farms getting name dropped in the news has led to dumb edgy teens and room temperature IQ morons to start joining, hopefully everything cools down after a month, if not maybe implement as sort of probation period of new accounts where they can only post in a specific board or thread for a period of time, could be fun to fuck with them and try to scare them off.

Welcome to Kiwi Farms. The first rule of Kiwi Farms is: you do not talk about Kiwi Farms. The second rule of Kiwi Farms is: you DO NOT talk about Kiwi Farms! Third rule of Kiwi Farms: if someone yells “sperg!”, goes full retard, or troons out, the fight is over. Fourth rule: only two fags to a fight. Fifth rule: one post at a time, fellas. Sixth rule: post internet gossip and laugh at lolcows. No memes, no reaction images, no one word replies. Seventh rule: threads will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Kiwi Farms, you have to act like a fucking retard.
