Except, Dollar Tree thrives during recessions, this is actually fucking ominous. The people made the algorithms, plus some of the worst stocks were up the most %wise, possibly some short squeezing going on alsoBecause of the Dollar Tree and Costco earnings report. Yes I am serious. Because of fucking Dollar Tree. Somehow their earnings being slightly better than the forecasts means that consumer demand and consumer purchasing is strong - which makes total logical sense. The market is traded by insane people and even more insane algorithms
It's also actual soot, from the constant Californian and Oregonian wildfires. That shit just mixes into the jetstream after a while. That ‘black soot’ is rubber from tires and asphalt. This isn’t Victorian London. Most of the ‘pollution’ from anything powered by fossil fuels is water vapor.
That's the gimmick, but all those "dollar stores" have tons of stuff priced higher anyway. It's always been a pet peeve of mine. But generally speaking they sell garbage-tier, shitty versions of an assortment of grocery and pantry-related goods, along with common household stuff like facial and toilet paper, paper towels and plates, shampoos, soaps, trash bags, usually school supplies, etc. Yes, there are some legitimately good deals here and there, but most of it is (ironically) overpriced trash. Even so-called "store brands" are generally higher quality.Isn't the entire point of the Dollar Tree is that it's "everything for a dollar"?
I haven’t experienced this myself. The last time I was in one of these stores, everything I saw was indeed one dollar. That's the gimmick, but all those "dollar stores" have tons of stuff priced higher anyway. And practically none of it is actually priced at $1 anymore. Even back when the concept was fairly new and there were stores literally named "Everything's a Dollar!" or had giant signs in their windows advertising that claim, you could still easily find random crap in any of them priced well over a dollar.
If our fucking government had any competence whatsoever (then or now) the FTC would have cracked down on that kind of misleading advertising and nipped it in the bud. But nobody goes after retail stores anymore for their lying ads.
I have seen this at a lot of stores with "Dollar" in their name, although Dollar Tree was consistently a dollar until earlier this year when it became the $1.25 store. Dollar General and other stores with "dollar" in their name actually had a surprising range of prices, sometimes up to around $5. I figured that they probably just used dollar to mean, "Cheap crap," but I think historically they were a dollar store that gave up that pricing gimmick long ago.I haven’t experienced this myself. The last time I was in one of these stores, everything I saw was indeed one dollar.
Can't wait for the Europoor meme to become reality. The European Union just came to an agreement on an embargo of 2/3rds of Russian oil.
Expect gas prices here in the United States to hit $5.50 avg by the end of July
Brent is currently up to $122/bbl
All this will do is make a bunch of middle man shippers a lot of money and drive the overall price up, they will still buy the oil because they need it.The European Union just came to an agreement on an embargo of 2/3rds of Russian oil.

That's what I thought about the Ukraine invasion thread. lolDoom-splainers always like to tell you the economy is going to collapse. Problem is it never does. Most doom-splainers are boomers or boomer tier types. I have heard all the chicken little shit before. The sky is always falling.
Things just get a little shittier. That's all that happens.
Yes.Are the euros maliciously trying to destroy their own continent or are they just that stupid?
I honestly struggle to get my head around this. Are the euros maliciously trying to destroy their own continent or are they just that stupid?
* Hungary is exempt from this. Enjoy the 15 euro per liter gas, eucucks. The European Union just came to an agreement on an embargo of 2/3rds of Russian oil.

They are serving the US. The US just said jump on the well. The Eu jumped. All this will do is make a bunch of middle man shippers a lot of money and drive the overall price up, they will still buy the oil because they need it.
I honestly struggle to get my head around this. Are the euros maliciously trying to destroy their own continent or are they just that stupid? If you look at their education none of them have economic, engineering etc degree or any technical education. I think one of the German ministers has a degree in literature or something. Explains why they don't seem to grasp the most basic of economic concepts. Maybe they are just that incompetent and stupid. God help us all.
Oh they are.Why do you assume that it cannot be both? These people are malicious retards.![]()
Bad goy reeeee!I will personally rape every single pro-EU and pro-ukraine shill and then eat them.
I am not going to pound sand so Kiyv can act smug once it finally falls in russian hands.
The great reset nigga. You'll own nothing and be happy. A society of renters. They're really gunning for that 2030 goal. All this will do is make a bunch of middle man shippers a lot of money and drive the overall price up, they will still buy the oil because they need it.

No, the US wanted nothing to do with that faggotry until it was dragged into it at Pearl Harbor. It ended the way it should of with Japan getting literally BTFO by us for fucking around and finding out. Now what happened after that...oof.Not at all. Both sides should have lost that one because everyone sucked
The US never declared war on Germany, Germany declared war on the US three days afterward US declared war on japan, and Hitler's generals where pissed as all hell. No, the US wanted nothing to do with that faggotry until it was dragged into it at Pearl Harbor. See, this is why allegiances are bad. If Germany had just minded their own businesses and stayed in their own lane in Europe, the world would have been a much better place today. Instead Germany went out of business in 1945 and globohomo inc was born.

Yes.
IMO it's a combination of:They are serving the US. The US just said jump on the well. The Eu jumped.
Interesting comment I found here:Not saying the rest of the world haven't gone downhill in that regard, but in the west and US it is most notable.
Interesting set of comments from a recent article here- comments were discussing the stagnation of Japan since the 90s:

Corona Babies
We know the effects of Corona on mortality and GDP. As data trickles in, we are now getting an increasingly clear idea of its effects on fertility rates. (via Twitter demographer @BirthGauge) We generally see no large-scale effects from Corona. There were usually fertility shocks as the...www.unz.com

Interesting notion on how the Anglosphere largely still deludes itself that its cultural output is still 'good', while everyone sort of subconsciously knows that pop culture has generally gone to the weeds across the world.
