Because it's working under the assumption that tons of people have right-wing parents who are unaccepting, which nowadays is a lot less common than it used to be, but this assumption leads to these "keep the parents in the dark" systems that seem to benefit groomers more than it benefits vulnerable youth.

I'll never forget the time a guy on a server I was on had a spray of Demoknight charging with a burning trans pride flag and sprayed it at the enemy spawn, and we got an easy victory because half the enemy team was crying in the text chat about the "horrible transphobic spray" at their spawn instead of defending the points.
