Minor history lesson: the reason the Southern Colonies enslaved black people wasn't because they hated them or because white people were evil or whatever the fuck SJWs think. No, the reasoning was a lot more simpler than that: pure unadulterated greed. They felt that importing dark-skinned foreigners to exploit for cheap labor was a "necessary evil" for the economy. They "had" to force the Negroes to farm cotton for them at minimal cost so they could increase their profit margins to make cotton shirts or whatever the fuck they did with all that cotton.

Fast forward past the Civil War, and the former Confederate States become staunchly Democrat. Why? Because Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. They absolutely despised the Republican party for taking away their pet Negroes and forcing them to treat them as equals. And so, these blue states became the birth place for things like the Ku Klux Klan and the Jim Crow Laws, as a twisted form of revenge against the people who reminded them of their humiliation at the hands of the North.

Fast forward to today, and now the Democratic Party and their voter base are arguing for why importing dark-skinned foreigners to exploit them for cheap labor is necessary for the economy. So I guess it's true when they say "The more things change, the more they stay the same."

For some inexplicable reason Dindu Twitter has decided to turn its guns on Sweden

Looks like it was started by a bunch of minorities living in Sweden and has since been leapt upon by the American branch of Dindu Twitter because never let an opportunit yto freak out about whitey go to waste.

Can't really highlight just one so I'll go for this dummy with a hell of a bio who has presumably gone from 'Sweden must be cool becase ABBA' to 'Sweden is the most racist country that ever existed' in the space of a day.

I knew someone who got domestically abused. Four times in two months he had to go to the ER, for some broken bones twice. When he finally got a restraining order and moved out, he ran into all kinds of problems.

The only place that he could go was a homeless shelter, but because he had a job he couldn't stay there. There were no domestic violence shelters for him.

There were no therapy groups. When he tried to call the domestic violence hotline, every time they sent him to the "don't hit women and control yourself, violent man" section. He couldn't find a therapist that could treat him, and since a lot of therapists are female he couldn't trust any of them.

The standard thing he heard was "oh, she can't hurt you, she's like 5' 2" and you're like 6'" and "why didn't you just defend yourself" from people who had almost no empathy for him. It didn't matter that a lot of times she did shit like hit him in the back of the head with a coffee mug or hit him with an iron. Nope, he's male, so he's magically impervious to injury.

He just gave up trying to get help and left the state. I don't know what happened to him.

Even so, US customs don't always travel overseas.
