The honest truth is you get to a certain point on YouTube you can get away with murder. Once you get assigned a YouTube liason it's pretty much over. All your disputes go through them and suddenly things that would get smaller channels banned don't even get your videos demonetized. I follow TheQuartering (as a lolcow I'm not a fan) and he's basically admitted this is the case on livestreams before. They gave him the same lady as Tim Pool who used to work for the Trump admin and wherever there's a problem she's the first step in resolving it.

That's why people like Jeremy and Ethan can break YouTube TOS multiple times a month and get a slap on the wrist at worst (but more likely just a call from their rep like last time Jeremy got himself in hot water) but if you tried to do their channel on a smaller scale you'd get perma-demonetized or banned. It's just like anything else the haves play by different rules than the have-nots. YouTube is too big to moderate so the peons have to deal with automatic moderation the big fish have a live person acting in their interest to keep them from getting too loud about how YouTube sucks for creators.

Yeah but I don't watch it to care about Ethan's takes or opinions. I watch the show to laugh at how silly he is and how stupid his takes are I have never taken him seriously or expected him to be a quality program in the 8 years I have watched him. I watch the podcast consistently because I can count on the fact that it's going to be extremely fucking retarded, have a few cheap guaranteed laughs in it and it is somewhat acceptable to watch with my 7 year old and wife on family night.

Expecting anything of value politically from the H3 podcast is like expecting a 5 star meal from Mcdonalds. If you treat the H3 podcast like the truck stop Mcdonalds it is, you'll find you probably like it much more.
