-Matthew Spampinato was killed in a hit and run. I literally don't understand why this death is mentioned. Is this literally a list of trans people who just died? Shouldn't this list include all the trans people who died of old age, cancer, etc. etc? Articles only talk about how he worked at starbucks and was well liked. He was hit around night time. Some drunk guy probably just ran him over, said fuck, and bailed.
-Naomi Skinner Was shot and killed by her boyfriend Michael. He is charged with murder. The article talks about how this "highlights the violence trans people experience in relationships."
Considering half of female homicides are by intimate partners, I would say the trans community should recognize that violence against women is a huge problem too. Also good for Michael to respect his girlfriends transition by killing her, like alot of men do to their actual wife/girlfriend.
-Cypress Ramos was killed by Allen Montemayor.
"He has claimed that he acted in self-defense and that he heard a song telling him to kill Ramos." This man clearly is a sane member of society, who hears songs telling him to kill people. PERHAPSE he was just fucking nuts, or maybe he hated her cause she was a tranny.
-Paloma Vazquez was shot a whole bunch in her apartment. No forced entry. Yet again was probably a friend. Maybe a murder, or maybe a hate crime. One of the articles about the death sums up the tranny outrage best with her close friend saying "Whenever a trans person is killed, they are killed because they are trans." It does not matter what the outside circumstances are, a trans person being killed is always a hate crime against trannies.
-Tatiana “Tee Tee” Labelle was killed in chicago. I am instantly crossing this off the list cause literally every black person is killing each other in chicago.
- Ray Muscat was killed by his Trans girlfriend Ruby Taverner. Yet another "a boyfirned kills his girlfriend, an all too common issue." But if you change the pronouns, it's a hate crime.
