You’re right about the testosterone causing it. Ripley has a condition that he overproduces testosterone. He uses this as his main claim to being “intersex” (when in reality if anything he’s actually just more man than most men are).

The deep lore is, Ripley was shopping around for doctors to give him an extremely experimental and unnecessary “FUTA“ surgery. he gets kicked out of most doctors offices because he’s extremely difficult to work with and has an open hatred for any woman in the medical field. One doctor put the idea in his head (when the doctor was essentially firing him) that the reason he can’t work with Ripley is because Ripley is “intersex“ therefore the doctor can assign him to a different hospital who’s better equipped to treat it. The doctor used the overproduction of testosterone as the reason Ripley could be intersex. Ripley was it delighted to have this diagnosis and left the doctors office peacefully without any tantrums.

I'm always surprised when people take a lolcows words for a fact since most of them are notorious liars - again, Kindness was in a wheelchair when she met the tranchers. It proves nothing.
