I do ironically enjoy his work and podcast (The same way I would enjoy watching The Room or a Neil Breen film) and I genuinely like Hila's demeanor and chemistry with Ethan but that's literally it. I do think that some of these drugs, in certain situations, can make you numb to suffering and turn you into basically a psycho. I'm not sure Ethan was joking. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. I have had more than one person tell me when they started taking anti-depressants it numbed them both from their depression but also from empathy and excitement. That they don't feel the same when someone dies or gets hurt etc. it's all numb.

I've had friends who I didn't see for a long time then met up with them and could tell in their eyes immediately something is off, they tell me all about how the drugs have changed their lives. One of them killed himself. The others I am afraid of.
