ONTD could have its own Community Watch thread. Batshit femcels falling over themselves to be as woke as possible while finding "safe" reasons to hate celebrities. Doesn't even have any terfs anymore :heart-empty:

I'd read one just to see the large amounts of dumb comments that they have on that site. It used to be mildly entertaining but now it's filled with annoying angry people. I'm not even surprised it was pro-Amber Heard, while other places were critical.

ONTD and Deuxmoi treat Amber like a saint and have developed a weird parasocial obsession with her.

I've yet to see any of these dumbfucks get the meaning of "actual malice" right. It's knowledge of falsity or reckless disregard for truth.
Why would a journalist reporting on a libel case have to understand anything about the elements of libel?

That's for nerds! They didn't major in journalism so they could be assessed by measurable, objective standards!

This cuck hang himself?

Amber probably didn't even look in his direction lol.

Am i getting this right that with malice part of the judgement is is like a golden goose in cases as this? Like the hardest thing to prove?
Normally yes. Due to the nature of her claims, it was arguably the easiest.

Amber claims she was abused. She would know if she was abused or not. If it's proven that abuse did not happen (i.e. a jury finds that the claims of abuse were false), it would logically follow that she knew she was not abused, and claiming otherwise would be knowledge of falsity.

One of the funniest things Johnny could do to rub it in would be to donate the payment (assuming she ever coughs it up) to the charities Amber made a big song and dance over donating to.

Sorry, I mean pledge. It's interchangeable, right?
He should donate $! in pennies to the ACLU. They don't need more money.

Why is it so difficult for a movement as politically cynical as #metoo to recognise the cost/benefits of a little spin?

"In our view, this is a victory for America and women everywhere, as it proves that a famous and beloved figure who is so publicly wronged is still able to achieve vindication in the American justice system, in spite of accusations to the contrary. We argue only that women be allowed an equal voice, not that it drowns out all others. This affirms our strong belief that all women should be heard, but justice is blind. Liberty, freedom, Hillary 2024."

Civil movements need disposable fuckups they can throw under the bus so they don't get lumped in with the baggage of the ones who didn't get the message. This insecure, herd-like solidarity for any scale of 'imperfect victim' is what screwed the image of the police over. It doesn't even matter if the result was actually sexist or unfair, she very aggressively played the sexism card in bad faith and fucked up. Ditch the witch.
