The best part is that she emphasizes that the case was much easier for depp to win in the UK, yet he lost, and much harder in the US, yet he won. Lady, you're not making a good case for your skills as a lawyer, considering you only were there for the lost US case which apparently was much easier.

And the complaint of not being allowed to add psychologist reports of physical abuse as "medical evidence", as if any psych would ever question or check any damage in any medical way. Even if I knew nothing about the case this would perk my ears up and make me think there is more to it.
I had some sympathy for her based on her client being an utter piece of shit, but it's quickly evaporating

The media cope and seething is real. No one believes them and they know it so like Heard they resort to gaslighting and guilt-tripping to garner support for Turd.
I expect the internet propaganda algorithm's to get cranked to a new level we've never seen as they yet again double down on the multiple double downs on their retardation and trying to be the arbiter's of truth.

So she lost because the internet, that's their play for appeal? lol
Are they trying to get back the 8-10 million they lost from the latest trial?, they're only going to lose more money trying to do this, even more so if they end up losing the appeal too.

>When even CBS is shitting on you

To be fair, what other cards does she have to play?
Gotta put that narrative out for the appeal.

Maybe not the least incompetent thing she's done in this trial.
Seems like they went from coping to shitting on them real quick.

I think Johnny Depp is an alcoholic shithead who has had two or three good roles in total and peaked over twenty years ago. The idea that his career is 'saved' means nothing when he was treading water over a decade ago.

However the verdict means women with BPD and wine moms will reeee for the next few months and people MIGHT (not likely) start caring about male victims of domestic abuse. It also redpills normies on pozzed media sources (a bunch of my left leaning friends have been having a real mask off moment reading the BBCs take on it all) and means my blocklists can get bigger and bigger.
His last big hit was about 5 years ago:, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales. It made over 700 million on a budget of about 200 to 300 million. It wasn't as successful as the previous Pirate films, but considering it was the 4th sequel, it did well. So it's untrue that he hit his peak 20 years ago and that he was just "treading water" since then. He would have been in the 6th Pirates film, but he was fired from it because of the allegations that he was a wife beater . Prior to that, he might have had some films that didn't do well, but he was still in demand as an actor and he could still make hits. The thing about Johnny Depp is that he often chose small independent films or eccentric roles over big budget, major studio projects, so a lot of his movies weren't meant to be blockbusters, like when he took the role of the detective Guy LaPointe in Tusk. I think he knew that wasn't going to be a huge money maker, but he wanted to do it because he found it interesting. However, before Amber Heard came out with her allegations against him, he had a more or less successful career and his ex wife's lies totally torpedoed it. Now that the public has learned the truth and is once again on his side, his career almost certainly will be revived.
vI've been seeing this circulated around. Is any of this remotely true or did she completely make this up whole cloth?

From all the testimony I saw in the trial, I think she made-up pretty much every single allegation of abuse. This was a really unusual case because in most situations where one or both partners accuse one another of violence, it's a he said/she said, with no way of anyone knowing who is telling the truth. However, in this case, there were actual recordings of their fights and in many of these recordings we hear her admit to hitting him. Then during her testimony she would either literally flat out deny that she hit him or claim she only hit him in self defense, even though the recordings showed that she was the aggressor.

The tapes also demonstrated that when their arguments got violent, he would leave the situation. Almost every time they had a fight, he'd try to get away from her and she would attempt to stop him. Then she'd get angry at him for running away. She'd call him names, tell him that he was a baby for complaining about being hit and a coward for leaving during their fights.

And it wasn't just the abuse she lied about, but nearly every topic that came up during the trial, such as her claim that she donated her entire 7 million dollar divorce settlement to charity. It turned out that she had pledged to do so, but never actually gave the money to the charities she'd promised it to. Then she straight up lied about it on the stand, insisting several times that she donated the money. Finally when she cornered by Depp's attorney Camille Vasquez, Amber she said that she used the words "donate" and "pledge" synonymously.

And then there was also the infamous bed shitting incident, where she tried to blame the dog, a teacup Yorkie that barely weighed six lbs and couldn't have laid out a turd that big. Not only did Amber poop on Johnny Depp's bed, deny it and then try to say it was the dog, but she actually tried to spin THAT as being Johnny's fault fault by claiming that the reason the dog crapped in the bed was because because it had acquired life long digestive issues after eating Johnny's stash of pot when it was a puppy.

TL/DR version: Bitch is a crazy liar.
We all know Depp will never see a penny of it tho, right?

*Edit* Even if she does have the money to pay him, it's very unlikely she will. She certainly wont do so voluntarily, Unless they have some way of garnishing her bank account or taking her possessions, I doubt he'll see a red cent. Like I said above, she pledged to give her entire 7 million dollar divorce settlement to charity and never did. So if she doenst even give money she promised she would give, it's doubtful she'll give what she's been told she must give. And again, that's even if she has the money. Between the combination of what she probably owes in lawyer's fees and the currently moribund state of her career, she's probably looking squarely down the barrel of bankruptcy.

However, he probably didn't sue her for financial gain and probably doesn't really expect to really collect. He likely did it to try restore his reputation and his career.
LBecause god forbid people know the truth:

Anyone who believes that Heard was the victim DID NOT SEE THE TRIAL.
Either they didnt see the trial or they made their mind up beforehand that Amber was the victim and no evidence, no matter how compelling could change their mind.

She just made it worse by getting herself caught in a lie as a result, since Vasquez repeatedly asked Heard to say she donated, which by Amber's stated logic would be the same thing as 'pledged', but Heard flat out would not say the word 'donated'. There isn't a reason under the sun that, if the two words mean the same thing and a fucking lawyer is asking you to use the alternative on the stand to verify something, that you don't do what the lawyer asks unless you know it's bullshit if it comes out of your mouth.

Speaking of lawyers, a Virginia lawyer (Law And Lumber) who was also there is opining that bankruptcy won't save Amber Heard from her judgment.
It depends on Johnny. In theory the debt shouldn't be dischargeable under US code Title 11 523(a)(6)
(a) A discharge under section 727, 1141, 1192[1] 1228(a), 1228(b), or 1328(b) of this title does not discharge an individual debtor from any debt—...

(6) for willful and malicious injury by the debtor to another entity or to the property of another entity;

However this would require Johnny to sue if she tried to go the bankruptcy route. Given he ain't getting paid anyway since she's a broke ass cunt with zero job prospects, and given he likely wants to put this shit behind him now he's cleared his name, he may well opt not to.

The best thing he was ever in other than From Hell or the first three Pirates films was The Ninth Gate, which was great only due to (lots of) naked Lena Olin.

Pretty much yeah. He's 58 years old, so ageing out of being a leading man in the blockbuster franchise movie genre, but he's still a popular actor who can still sell movies in the US and foreign markets. And everybody likes a redemption arc - Robert Downey Jr and Mel Gibson are doing fine. Tom Cruise is still a box office draw despite everybody knowing he's an insane gay midget.

Up till very recently Bruce Willis was cashing in on doing shitty direct to streaming movies for $1m a pop, 3 days work a time. Depp is going to be raking in a lot more than that from movie, TV appearances, being in commercials and his inevitable book deal.

The guy's set for life with all the douchey hats, exotic vacations and high quality drugs he could want, and there's nothing his psycho ex-wife can do except cope, shit and dilate.
