Chantal -- at her present baseline -- already presents with a cornucopia of co-morbid personality deficits, physical impairments, and a complete lack of basic bodily upkeep.

The most relevant impact of her newfound embrace of the alky may be that she's speed-running a conversion of her Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) into an Alcoholic Fatty-Boom-Batty Liver Overdose On U-Tube (A-FB-BLO-OUT.)

YES. This was a very concerning phenomenon to observe as a medical professional. Clearly she was affected by at least alcohol if not more substances than that. Her multiple comorbid medical conditions are going to contribute to her body's inability to effectively metabolize all of this, placing her at a higher risk for a poor outcome. By poor outcome, I mean death.

My biggest concern was that she was going to put her CPAP mask on and would potentially vomit into the mask. This could have created an aspiration event and possible death. For those of you not aware of how PAP therapy works, air is forced into the air passages in an effort to blow / hold open the tissues that block the airway when relaxed during sleep. Nothing like a strong forceful push of air to ram puke into your lungs.

Furthermore, there is the concept of whether or not she would be coherent enough to perform a self-rescue maneuver in the event that she did vomit with her mask on. In hospital settings, patients have to be assessed as to whether or not they are capable of removing the mask on their own should they vomit into it. If one is so fucking inebriated that you are unable to talk coherently and piss and shit yourself when you puke, there is a good chance you would not rouse sufficiently to recognize the need to pull the mask off, furthering the risk factors.

Lastly, if she had not bothered to put the mask on at all, she is still at high risk. Obviously alcohol is a CNS depressant and would affect the quality of her breathing which would be amplified logarithmically and astronomically by her already diagnosed sleep apnea.

TL;DR? She's playing with fire. Death arc coming soon if she continues along this path.

Yes, last night she WAS playing with fire, cringe aside. Like I pointed out in my previous comment, Anna Nicole Smith was interviewed outside the Hard Rock and it was either her very last, or next to last one. I saw it on TV then and was instantly disgusted that 1. they even interviewed her in that state, and 2. thought that was okay to put on television without making them all look like sociopaths.
Something like the next day, or day after, she was found dead.
Now, I admit I hadn't actually considered her vomiting into the CPAP because I'm positive we didn't just see the magic of alcohol last night. IDK what drugs, or combo, but it was definitely a combo of some sort. I'm not a health care worker, just a case manager who sees this pretty regularly. It is absolutely pathetic and frustrating as it gets in the way mightily with others who do not have this problem and are on a waiting list to receive intake and services. Drug court participants figure large in these mental health/state rehabilitation programs.

Okay. That aside, I'm mildly curious, since it is something Ol' James likely endured under extreme duress last night--and is something police and medical staff also have to witness:

When she puked, I imagine the smell was nothing short of Cosmic Horror to rival Bierce, Chambers, and Lovecraft together. I didn't hear any running water. And I think MANY of us know damn well that vomiting was extremely explosive and violent--not to mentioned left there.
And this isn't getting into her urination and defecation. Any of you ever smell even a solid shit from someone who regularly abuses drugs, whether it's prescription, OTC, party drugs, or a combination, it's...pretty indescribable.
Either way, that can also be an indicator of just how bad she's gotten and how close to death she truly is at this point.

Agreed. What really made it so distasteful is that 5 minutes after she was (fake) sobbing over "the dead children" and her utterly meaningless claim that she would "give her life to bring them back," she was playing "Pumped Up Kicks" while smirking, singing, and throwing finger guns.
