Quite possibly our resident Elephant Dick on the SRS thread, /u/Cryolophosaurus.

Posted their information all over the place, a keen Farmer spotted some details in her linked Instagram and Facebook.

She posted shortly after about it, thinks getting a VPN and putting a watermark on her posts means that the Farms will neither see her posts or be able to post them. The writing style is very similar.

Also has nothing to fear from us seeing as that thread is filled with people who want her to lead a fulfilling life and get out of the cult that is actively harming her. The only people who would harm her with her info are her fellow cult members who blast her and possibly chase her down if she ever sees the light.

It’s definitely her. She posted a very similar post on her actual account. She’s quite frankly overreacting because the only thing being debated on here is the weird shape of her dick and I’m 100% sure we would all do our best to avoid her irl and not the contrary.

Mostly it just gets ignored because they never publish or promote without vetting, and it's so dispassionate it's hard to argue it's hateful. The left and the right both - whether it's the farce of "green energy" or Kansas's peculiar economic strategy.

Whether or not the women's cycling union in the UK decided on a boycott because of the skeptics society I am not sure, but they laid out the case that publicly boycotting the opportunity to lose to a man was the most effective way to force change. The UK's cycling was investigating people for stating opposition to their trans inclusion policy up until the women told them they wouldn't race.

There are lots of blue hairs here. It's important to remember that skepticism isn't about finding like minded people, only finding like reasoning people.

Speaking of skepticism - probably don't take everything you read from social media at face value. Some of my sock puppet accounts have been quoted here. All I do with them is point out the standard of care is affirmation, and their providers are expecting them to explore their doubts. It's kind of funny reading people claim a ftm doesn't understand being a man when it was written by a man though.

This reminds me, is anyone else bothered by being addressed as they/them? Like, normally it wouldn't bother me much, but coming from troons and their woke drones it feels almost sinister. When I looked into it myself a couple of years ago, I decided to stick with the glasses, because I have dry eyes in the winter from heated air and LASIK apparently makes dryness symptoms way worse. I know that I saw implantable contact lenses as an alternative when I was looking around, but like I said, just ended up accepting the glasses. I don't know if the contact lens one is better, I didn't look into it too much, but it seemed to be a good alternative for people with dry eyes at least.

And to the others in the thread, the risks are not extreme, but the LASIK industry is notorious for having a lot of fly-by-night operations because the procedure is largely computer controlled so is more a matter of upfront cost than skill. There are no requirements for what surgeons need to disclose, and no industry standards on what information on risks to give to clients. There's definitely a lot of people who are helped by it, but it is absolutely true that the industry downplays negative outcomes and complications and pretends they don't exist.

If you are going to do it, just make sure you choose a surgeon who's willing to go through risk factors and really check to make sure you are a good candidate for it. Do not just trust that the closest provider will actually check to make sure you aren't at risk of complications.

It's using self-reported identities to obfuscate the fact that women and girls are more at risk of being targets of SV than the perpetrators.

I hate this type of studies, is so easy to design a study and manipulate the conditions that will give you the conclusion you desire, the whole field of sociology specially is ripe with useless gargabe. Coincidentally, there was an interesting thread on twitter today about queer theory and the sexualizing of children (archive)

It got me thinking: everyone here here is familiar with the "adult human female" definition that makes TRAs seethe but I think we don't focus enough on the "adult" part. The new and improved TRA definition is "a woman is anyone who identifies as a woman." But notice it's not "any adult who identifies as a woman."

I don't think that everyone who parrots that definition is consciously trying to advance pedophilia. But by swallowing the ideology, they have made it easier for pedos (and people who are happy to promote pedophilia to prove that they are groundbreaking non-normies) to advance their cause.

The issue is: once you have started placing feelings and desire over actual biological boundaries, why not try to push the age boundary next? A lot of victims of pedophilia end up convinced (because of grooming) that the relationship they are in is consensual. And child molesters will argue about how a certain victim is actually very mature for their age and was totally ready for a sexual relationship. Well, we have already decided as a culture that feelings trump biological sex, and now we have moved onto "biological sex isn't real anyway," so... why should the fixed adult/child boundary remain in place?

It's particularly ominous now that it's occurring alongside the push for puberty blockers and the reframing of natural puberty as something optional and possibly harmful. Once you decouple chronological age from physical and sexual maturity, the concept of a "child" becomes even fuzzier and easier to attack.

Note that the idea of suppressing some secondary sexual characteristics permanently is even being floated in science journals now, and has received zero pushback. Activists have tied puberty blockers to trans rights so successfully that the subject has become almost untouchable. And so now it's just ratcheting up, slowly.

Sorry for waxing philosophical, it's just something that really struck me, especially when combined with all the good liberals insisting that this sexualized drag queen stuff is good because they don't want to disagree and be one of Those People.
