President Joe Biden on Tuesday said that the United States will impose sanctions “far beyond” the ones that the United States imposed in 2014 following the annexation of the Crimean peninsula.

“This is the beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Biden said in a White House speech, signaling a shift in his administration’s position. “We will continue to escalate sanctions if Russia escalates,” he added.

Russian elites and their family members will also soon face sanctions, Biden said, adding that “Russia will pay an even steeper price” if Moscow decides to push forward into Ukraine. Two Russian banks and Russian sovereign debt will also be sanctioned, he said.

Also in his speech, Biden said he would send more U.S. troops to the Baltic states as a defensive measure to strengthen NATO’s position in the area.

Russia shares a border with Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops to go into the separatist Donetsk and Lugansk regions in eastern Ukraine after a lengthy speech in which he recognized the two regions’ independence.

Western powers decried the move and began to slap sanctions on certain Russian individuals, while Germany announced it would halt plans to go ahead with the Russia-to-Germany Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

At home, Biden is facing bipartisan pressure to take more extensive actions against Russia following Putin’s decision. However, a recent poll showed that a majority of Americans believe that sending troops to Ukraine is a “bad idea,” and a slim minority believes it’s a good one.

All 27 European Union countries unanimously agreed on an initial list of sanctions targeting Russian authorities, said French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, and EU foreign affairs head Josep Borell claimed the package “will hurt Russia … a lot.”

Earlier Tuesday, Borell asserted that Russian troops have already entered the Donbas region, which comprises Donetsk and Lugansk, which are under the control of pro-Russia groups since 2014.

And on Tuesday, the Russian Parliament approved a Putin-back plan to use military force outside of Russia’s borders as Putin further said that Russia confirmed it would recognize the expanded borders of Lugansk and Donetsk.

“We recognized the states,” the Russian president said. “That means we recognized all of their fundamental documents, including the constitution, where it is written that their [borders] are the territories at the time the two regions were part of Ukraine.”

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Putin said that Ukraine is “not interested in peaceful solutions” and that “every day, they are amassing troops in the Donbas.”

Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday morning again downplayed the prospect of a Russian invasion and proclaimed: “There will be no war.”

“There will not be an all-out war against Ukraine, and there will not be a broad escalation from Russia. If there is, then we will put Ukraine on a war footing,” he said in a televised address.

The White House began to signal that they would shift their own position on whether it’s the start of an invasion.

“We think this is, yes, the beginning of an invasion, Russia’s latest invasion into Ukraine,” said Jon Finer, the White House deputy national security adviser in public remarks. “An invasion is an invasion and that is what is underway.”

For weeks, Western governments have been claiming Moscow would invade its neighbor after Russia gathered some 150,000 troops along the countries’ borders. They alleged that the Kremlin would attempt to come up with a pretext to attack, while some officials on Monday said Putin’s speech recognizing the two regions was just that.

But Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told reporters Tuesday that Russia’s “latest invasion” of Ukraine is threatening stability in the region, but he asserted that Putin can “still avoid a full blown, tragic war of choice.”

For a while those turds would keep posting this Vaush meme. Vaush for all his many faults and moral sickness at least has managed not to lift the teeshirt of a little boy in order to kiss his belly button. /chug/gers are the felchers of online world. I doubt even their boy loving idol respects them much, but these dollar store propagandists do it for free. Poop eaters all of them.

Stupid projecting shit eater. Stop eating shit and trying to vomit it out here. It isn't healthy, or keep it to your parent's basement.
Behold, the A&N shitposter from 4chan who comes here to regurgitate memes and cope. Wouldn't you be happier back on /k/ where you can share your reddit memes?

Can somebody give me a run down on the su/mig-25/27 story?
First, it was claimed that Russian su-25 was shot down over Zaporozhe Region, than it was claimed by Russians that it is Ukrainians shooting down their own mig-27 and now Ukrainians claim that it was some kind of malfunction?
Don't want to post it in other thread because i don't know what is going on with that.

/k/ identified it as an SU-27 based on the remains of the tail.

You talking about a disregard of context is rich. You've been uke simping for weeks. Even the fucking west is giving up on that foolish war, russia will get what they wanted from the start. All your bluster just accomplished ruin and death of good people.
Some of you people need to take a good long look at this shit and do some soul searching. So much wasted blood, and stacks of money the west didn't have. If we hadn't stuck our fucking noses in this would have been over a month ago.

You act like the nexus of surrender is solely on Ukraine.
If you want people to stop dying then admit Russia could just as easily toss in the towel and retreat; otherwise you are no different then what you are accusing others of being.

Dude takes two articles talking about shaky Ukraine morale, yet the same rags he's quoting have TONS of articles talking about bad morale within the Russian armed forces:

Again, he ignores context so badly. Yes, Ukrainian soldiers are dealing with bad morale. You know who else has been dealing with bad morale for months? Russia. The big difference between the two is that Russia has the yearly income of New York State, and Ukraine has enough allies that can practically spend the Russians to death. The American GDP is $20 trillion, the European Union GDP is $15 trillion. And seeing how Russia is scraping the bottom of the barrel for both tanks and manpower, it's obvious that the logistics of this war favor Ukraine. Russia has historically been shit at logistics. And this war is no exception.

Yeah both sides can have low morale. Morale isn't a unitary feature either.
A conscript entering a foreign country isn't going to have the same low morale that a reservist having to defend his home will.
One might not like the line in the sand he has to go hungry holding in the cold rain; but its not the same as the poor bloke drawing the short straw to be in the platoon charging into gunfire to try and dislodge the sad fuckers holding the line in the cold rain.

We don’t know yet, possibly Ukrainian, possibly Russian, seems to be an Su-27 variant of some kind. We’ll see more of it tomorrow for sure.

Zelensky says that in addition to going to the front in Zaporizhzhia, he also visited the cities of Soledar and more notably Lysychansk, and released this video. Unfortunately it's kinda hard to geolocate a basement to determine where exactly he was filmed giving out awards (?). Don't ask why the first half of the video doesn't have audio.

On one hand they seem to be in need of repair.
On the other hand a Leo-II is easily in the top 3 of best tanks in the world, and even if Russia does deploy their zuber-stronk Armata (unlikely) a Leo-II could easily rip it open.

Where did you get 148? Spain only bought 108 2A4s total from Germany. First article says they are giving up 40(that have been in deep storage for at least a decade).
you're right, I misread because I was too busy cumming in my pants at the thought of German tanks ripping through russhit t62s like butter

Imagine being the welp using an Iraqi tier T-62M with most of the surfaces rusted over from years of improper storage hearing that your enemies are being fitted with Leopard II A4s. That's on top of the Ukrainians fielding a few companies worth of captured late model T-72s and T-80s.

Someone leaked Armchair warlord's (Vatnik Tonkasaw) military career. As suspected he was a lackluster company grade officer that got out after being passed up for promotion several times.

Fuck that. There is a third way. Many confuse it as being pro-Uke because of how supportive it is. But it's not because we actually care about their state.

I'm pro sending the Ukes gear to bury Russians so I don't have to spend tax dollars later trying to match their military or at worst the lives of people I care about. How's that? People are fighting over propaganda bullshit. The sob story crap in the normie news. I just want to know how many tank hulls got broken and am doing back of the envelope calculations on how much it will cost to replace them. That is what matters to me and mine. Cold calculation. If that means some surplus and some billions of dollary-doos. Worth it. We would spend more later if not. Cheap, if inopportune, buy in to burying a strategic enemy. It is blatantly obvious.

Also lots of laughing at their ambition. They are totally serious when they talk about this Berlin crap. It's one thing to laugh at the spunky defender Baghdad Bob style when they get wrecked. But when they picked the place and time with what should have been a superior force on paper? And these guys are supposed to take down NATO? Shit. You call a doctor to schedule your hernia surgery for the belly laughs about it.

Russia has made it plain. This isn't Rus/Uke it is Rus/Uke+NATOwillforukes and they are getting tooled at least on that goal. Bloody as hell and costing NATO pennies on the dollar/euro. More war please. Make sure to break more of their shit. Yeah yeah Uke thots can go bang sketchy Italians if they want to. They deserve to make each other miserable. I just want more broken war machines that Russia spent 8 years building towards. It means those machines don't kill people worth a shit later.

There is also forth way which is confused for being pro Russian when its simply about Russian subversion attempts not being enough to let Russia dominate Europe while at the same time strenghtening far right who is best bet against globohomo, Schwab and his kin etc. I legit couldnt care less about Russia except that Ukraine is breaking my useful tool.
