Sarault is Chantal’s mother’s maiden name (both of her mother’s siblings and her maternal grandmother, Audrey, AKA Grams, are/were named Sarault). Are you trying to say her biological father was also a Sarault? Rate me late if this Wilfred Sarault stuff is common Chantal knowledge, but I have no idea where you found this much information. Her grandmother’s obituary doesn’t list her husband’s name, either.

Sorry, I deleted that comment because it was confusing. There is no inbreeding shown in anything so far.

"Inbred," "trailer trash," and "Hillbilly" are just socially acceptable racial slurs and the equivalent of "Nigger" but for white people. That's why she uses the terms.

I can almost guarantee that Sarault is an Acadian ancestry.

The Acadians followed the patriarch model - the men were in charge of carrying the line, the surname was very important because you could trace back most of these surnames to the original 500 families that settled in Canada.

The Acadians are a deep Canadian secret because they forced out thousands to the States. They primarily married cousins, they had at least 4-5 children per family and they were not allowed back into Canada for many many many years so sometimes the lineage is broken due to the records being in the States. If her paternal great grandparents lived anywhere near New Brunswick, that would confirm it for me but they are also scattered throughout backwoods Quebec. There is no "Acadian" genealogy in DNA- Acadians are primarily European descent because they came from France. Some share other ancestry because of the proximity of Spain and the migration to the Southern States. So she can never take a DNA test to learn this - she would need to trace ancestral records and build a family tree to piece where they were living in the 1800s and before. Eta: they were also deeply seriously Catholic, hence having so many kids.

I don't know Chantal's ancestry but I do know a lot about Acadia so just putting this out there for the aficionados of Chantal to see if any of the pieces fit with what is known.

No, we heard the motorcycle pull up next to her car. Nader doesn't have a vehicle and can't drive. She wasn't in Montreal. I think the Motorcycle Guy is her dealer. Instead of going to the Outhouse, she is going to behind the bowling alley for "dates". Riiiiight....

Another giveaway for me was when she spoke to Peetz in her stream after the “date”, and he said something about expecting her to be out longer. Date = score drugs from motorcycle guy, head to the drive-thru of choice (or two) for a quick car binge, then head home to partake in said drugs.

If she actually did cheat on him (Chantal lies) Malan probably would have known and that would explain why he stopped having sex with her during that last year or so, maybe more I think. I'd bet anything she didn't use condoms at least some of the time, and with her penchant for not liking to shower.....it's too gross to even think about. Malan certainly showed a lot of his usual dignity and class by simply being firm about the break-up, and just keeping it together until he got her ass out the door.
