I think they watched him when they were younger and really latched on. Almost like Metokur would affirm their thoughts in a cogent way they themselves couldn't form into words. So they take this idolization and think "Metokur basically just puts what I already think into a way it's funny! I can do that! He's popular and makes a fuck ton of money, I bet I could be just like that!" Then they try ... and fail. Because they can't articulate their views and thoughts into an entertaining and funny manner the same way Metokur could. They can't form a situation where it's relatable or captivating. They don't have the charm, charisma, or luck Metokur had. So they just come off as really shitty emulations of someone they idolized and treated as a role model. They don't understand that Metokur got REALLY lucky. He was at the right place at the right time. He got in while the getting was good. That shit is gone now. Metokur is different because he has the "clout" and the staying power to keep on carving out shit for himself. These other people? They don't have that. They don't have the wit, charm, or entertainment value. The fuck would I want to watch a Metokur clone when I can just watch Metokur?
I think the other issue is they view people like Metokur as celebrities and there's a level of worship. Which, he's not a celebrity. And neither are these fucking retards. They make low effort fucking videos of them talking the same generic points into a mic and record themselves looking at Reddit or news sites. Any faggot can do this. They're not special, though they think they are.

To see why is clear. What is puzzling is that Metokur clearly doesn’t fit with what they preach. Sure they can imitate him but why would they want to when their views clearly conflict with the other people they try to ape like Ethan Ralph and other figures from IBS. Especially when they’re trying to give the impression they’re so hardline and optical. You can argue childhood nostalgia and that Metokur is untouchable and it would likely be how they see it. It still doesn’t change the fact it’s incredibly tedious and stupid.

As a controversial opinion: I never bought into content cop destroying people. The only ones who did were stupid enough to not understand how YouTube works or they were pandering and selling it that person X got destroyed. They were entertaining for what it was but the leafy one was the unfunniest and barebones one (I liked the missing chin flyer sketch) but repeating it over and over again isn’t comedy.
As an example, look at the people who imitated Idubbbz. What was that discord sperg who faked a heart attack called? Anyway point is, the people who take imitation to that extent aren’t successful or entertaining.

He doesn't want to be Jim though, nor does he want to be famous beyond just getting a bigger paycheck. That isn't to say his public persona didn't take inspiration from Metokur, but he definitely doesn't want Jim's fame/infamy. Rogue's endgame is just do this until his day job pays better or he finds a better one, and until then like I said, it's an outlet to starch a creativity itch and laugh at cows that brings in bank somehow and he's not going to squander that

Why should it be everyone else’s responsibility to make you not kill yourself? If you’re that unhappy with your life it’s on you to make choices to correct it whether that means self delete or therapy is up to you. If your life doesn’t bring value to me then why ask me to enable you? I still think this is the absolute cringiest thing Rogue has ever been apart of.
It's a nightmarish project featuring Dillin Thomas's ex girlfriend, a handful of Youtube spergs nobody knows about and that weird hyena laugh having dude The Martial Nerd. The music itself sounds like some of the worst self produced soundcloud rap you could possibly ever create there's literally zero rhythm rhyme or structure to any of it. Not to mention everybody involved with this project [Including the person on that weird cover] just feels like they want to fuck Dillin secretly.
Yeah I kind of agree. He doesn't appear to like his own fans at all and constantly talks shit about them at every opportunity. He also isn't a skilled video producer whatsoever and the only reason his work even looks mildly passable is because of the people around him so he's completely stuck doing Chris Chan readings for the rest of time. That is the literal only reason most people watch him, he has over 10 million total channel views and only garnered less than 35k subs from it which is pathetic engagement.

Before the whole iCuckkz saga, the majority opinion in his neck of the woods was that he was this untouchable career-killer - while we know this isn't true now, the important part of Sneed's message is "back when Content Cop was popular". And if iDubbbz is able to successfully put together something like Creator Clash and have it go off without a hitch (save for the Sam Hyde drama sideshow), he probably has even more plans for events/content, plans that, if Creator Clash is anything to go by, will more than likely also be fairly successful. But even assuming that all of his future endeavors fall through, I still can't imagine him being forgotten in just six years - it's been six years since 2016 but people are still making video essays on Leafy and GradeAUnderA.
Just because someone can be mocked doesn't mean their life or career are on an unavoidable downward trajectory towards obscurity.
