In terms of sheer output (a rant livestream or video almost every day) and even improving quality (i.e. returning to be the somewhat insightful anime analyst he once was), he certainly earns his monthly $600-700 from his dedicated 200 or so patrons (who are the ones clearly drinking his kool-aid). It will be interesting to see how well his renewed focus on wigger rapping with his "supergroup" and claiming that ALL of his personas, not even just the tongue in cheek "Queermo", are characters (even "Trixie", who is supposed to be his IRL name; let me guess, his driver's license still says "Conrad Collins", am I right?) will sit with his patrons, who have stuck by him for almost the past year. But the fact that his "Moon Knight: The Dissociative Superhero" video has hardly been negatively ratio'd means that all his viewers that couldn't stomach "Digi-née", "B," and "Trixie" have unsubscribed from his channel long ago.
Thing is, it's clear he doesn't deserve more than $664 as of now, because the last time anyone thought he was worth more than that that was back in June 2021. He'll likely continue to plateau and ultimately stagnate.

I bothered to sit through the video; it didn't strike me as self-absorbed (esp. for Conrad). It's a standard recommendation list format. All of the shows are real shows. He clarifies which are ones where gender isn't a main component of the story. Really, it's odd to call a recommendation list self-absorbed at all, because the purpose of it is to provide some offerings other people might like. I guess Ray could be saying, "No one else wants this kind of show", but the shows exist? So clearly, the creators have something to say and some people want to watch them. Bad take Ray, Conrad has a thousand self-absorbed videos, and you picked a completely rote one.
Probably still isn't paying any taxes or back taxes either. Bet the IRS doesn't care since he's right around the poverty line. SOB lucked out. I guess when you build a small niche empire, even when it falls, you aren't completely fucked if the justice system doesn't get you.

I used to watch Digi a lot back in the day. I had to stop once he trooned out and started pitch shifting his voice, and got briefly reintroduced during his battle with the gunt so I'm very behind on all the goings on.
Despite all the controversy and cringe, Digi was always one of my favorite anitubers (just behind Demo). He was pretensious, unhygienic, and an absolute contrarian, but he was entertaining and had interesting things to say. Some of those wierd esoteric and introspective videos on After Dark were incredible entertaining to me, despite the fact that they were probably a sign of what was to come.
Digi had the benefit of looking like an autsitic and gross otaku crippled with financial troubles and that made him relatable to a lot of us. The fact that he was able to make his hobby a career was pretty inspiring too. This dude seriously had a good thing going with an audience, around 3000 a month, a girlfriend, and a home. He threw it all away for what? Just to become a completely unpassing tranny living with his mom? To be "true to himself" ? When he first started I was hoping it was just a phase or a joke that he'd get over, but looks like he's in it till he sodokus himself.
Genuinely sad to see John Lennon's autistic, dysgenic, anime-obsessed bastard child turn into a trooned out, drugged up hon with a permanent 5 o' clock shadow and a totally-not-gay boyfriend.
You hate to see it.

It's interesting how his increase in Patreon revenue comes from a small number of new paypigs that are giving him much more than his previous donors: At his lowest he got $534 per month from 198 patrons, with an average contribution of $2.70. Now he gets $664 from just 16 more people, meaning that unless there's been a reason for old regulars to increase their pledges, his new paypigs are giving him $8.13 per month on average.
