Stem cells can come from adult donors as well. I think most stem cell treatments actually involve a donation/transfer of your own stem cells, or they're donated from another adult if you need treatment after cancer. That said, given Trench's life situation and the fact that she's self-treating, there is no way she can actually afford any "stem cell" medication, so who knows what she's consuming.
