To be fair about the first part, at least she has a tiny bit of self awareness about it. When you're addicted you can have moments of clarity but it quickly convinces you it's the best thing for you. I've known some people who lacked even that small bit of self awareness about drugs. None of the "it's bad, don't do it" all of the "it's amazing and you should do it too!"
