The only reason people are secretly recording in the first place is because the "LGBT" community, but let's be real, mostly the trans community and their water-carriers, explicitly try to keep parents from finding out about this stuff unless the parents are supportive without question. Because they KNOW it looks bad. That's why they're whining so much.
"Counselors" NOT telling parents and quietly pushing kids towards a road of personal destruction is how we got here in the first place. You know, BASICALLY DOING IT IN SECRET, but fluff it up with language like "protecting dignity" or "creating a safe space" so it doesn't sound like people trying to groom kids into doing shit they don't understand.
They aren't your kids, you're not reproductive, and if they aren't your kids you don't get secrecy with them until they turn 18, and attempts to do so will lead directly to parents doing exactly this because they're concerned about the lives they've spent years raising from birth to succeed being destroyed by secretive powerful groups in a matter of months.
Edit: and the dirty secret is, I dunno how many of these people actually are consciously malicious, I think a lot of them are actually just brainwashed over decades and actually believe, but at a certain point prior knowledge of the damage they cause is not relevant to the moral calculus when the end result is so devastating.
