Matthew Patrick / "MatPat" / @MatPatGT / The Game Theorists / The Film Theorists - Just a homosexual theory: Everyone is a HATER?; Plagiarism & Clickbait King

Blame the creepypasta forums for that one, it's the classic cartoon theory to assert that everyone is dead or the entire show is somebody's dying dream because of the "Ash's Coma" theory. Lost's ending suggesting that everyone died in the crash that started the show helped nothing, and all of this likely comes back to St Elsewhere having the entire show seemingly be the imagination of some kid with a snowglobe.
Ash's Coma theory is so fucking stupid because it can't even work with more than 99% of what's happening and one of the points it makes is pure opinion (on the designs of Pokemon specifically.) Also, I swear there was another theory before the Pokemon one, of a Hannah Barberra Cartoon (not Scoob, there's been plenty of interesting theories like it being during the Great Depression or they're draft dodgers in Canada) being quite literally purgatory.

I guess I'm the only one who actually bothered to watch the Paw Patrol video, it actually isn't a 'They're all secretly dead" theory despite the thumbnail.
First quarter of the video is just talking about how much he likes watching the show with his son and talking about how good it is as a preschool show. Then the actual theory is that Ryder (main human boy) is creating a puppy militia because dogs are expendable and in the past dogs under Ryders care have died.

His main argument hinges on the fact that in a flashback episode Rubble (yellow dog) is seen joining the Paw Patrol and his emblem and logos are already on the equipment leading to the conclusion that there was a former pup in his same role who died.

It isn't completely implausible, but given it is a made for TV, CGI, formulaic, preschool show its clear the creators aren't going to make new models for a single episode and it's more a hold over of recycling.

It does seem like he actually cares about the property though unlike some other theories he's put out. I wouldn't be surprised if this video was actually written by him.

Edit: Dang, ninja-ed

To be fair, can you really blame anyone for not wanting to trudge through"secretly dead" for the millionth time? It's base human instinct to just see those words and have your eyes glaze over as you dissociate for however long it takes to survive the experience.

I don't remember the Hanna-Barbera thing, but I recall being told there was an X-Men comic where it posited that all the stories and the entire Marvel Universe were just a dream Charles Xavier had before he died.

The closest I found to that was a tie-in to the 1990s cartoon where somehow the Shi'ar crystal caused that cartoon's universe to end and in its place came the main Marvel Universe.

EDIT: Ever hear the one about how the Smurfs are actually Communists?

MatPat is trending on Twitter because his latest video game conspiracy theory is mobilizing a bunch of literal children to chase after a fake FNAF ARG and harass people or some shit? Anyone know what this is about?
It wouldn't be the first time Mat has tried to dip his toes into the 'ARG' sphere. Though it would be the first time it wasn't just a grift to sell shitty merch with honest to god decoder rings.

Also, fuck you, Pecking, now I have Matpat in my youtube history. The algorithm will be spitting him at me for weeks now.

Edit: Tried watching it on an incognito window, made it about two minutes in before my eyes and ears started to spew blood to protect me. I'll have to take a backseat here.

Apparently some of the most recent FNAF books have vague references that could be considered an ARG. I have no clue why MatPat would assume it is an ARG since Scott Cawthon has said multiple times now he'd never do one without explicitly saying so. Scott's been doxxed and people/restaurants have been harassed because of fans making fake FNAF ARGs in the past.

I think this may be in reference to “The Cul-De-Sac,” an Ed Edd & Eddy fanfic that says that the kids on the block were spirits in purgatory, each dying in different time periods, all within the area that became the Cul-De-Sac.
  1. Rolf and his family immigrate and establish a homestead in the area, and the shepherd's son is trampled to death by his livestock in 1903
  2. Johnny's family buys Rolf's farm, and the boy creates Plank as an imaginary friend to deal with the isolation and boredom. He dies of TB in 1922
  3. Eddy was a New Yorker whose family came down to the developing neighborhood in 1932. Growing up during the Depression leads him to become a greedy conman in the hopes of obtaining a little creature comfort, and he drowns in 1939 while running away from some angry kids he scammed
  4. Ed and Sarah came in the post-war boom, both developing their personalities and eccentricities as coping mechanisms to deal with their father dying in the war and their mother always being away at work. They die in a car crash in 1953
  5. Nazz was a flower child who was raped and murdered alongside the rest of her family in 1979. She shut out her family in the afterlife to try to cope with her traumatic death
  6. Edd was the child of controlling yuppies and developed a scientific but meek personality. He died in 1986 when he accidentally triggered a gas explosion with a Bunsen burner.
  7. Kevin grew up in a broken home with an abusive drunk for a father, leading him to become a bully. His dad accidentally beat him to death during an argument in 1999, and Kevin spends the afterlife deluding himself that his dad was awesome
  8. Jimmy was a lonely kid due to suffering from Leukemia from an early age, eventually succumbing in 2000. Some variations instead just have him be a flamboyant kid who was bullied to death.
  9. The Kanker Sisters are demons tormenting the kids of the Cul-De-Sac, and they consider the Eds to be the easiest to do that to due to their personalities
  10. Some revisions also interpret the Big Picture Show as the kids ascending to Heaven while Eddy's Brother is dragged off to Hell.
It's a bit more clever than others, but it still fits the same theme of "everyone is dead and in purgatory" that a lot of creepypasta theories are composed of. Don't judge me for knowing this stuff, I grew up in the creepypasta era.

Fnaf fans after watching mat patts new video

Like clockwork, Matpat’s shitty fnaf video discussing ARG whilst giving out coordinates has resulted in several news articles being written about fat people harassing a small town for FNAF and Matpat having to tell people to stop harassing them lol.
